Been reading for ages so i thought id post,
House went on market 2 weeks ago, 4 double beds nicely decorated very large and spacious yet we havent heard a thing,EA said no -one has even looked at our details im absolutley gutted, i know im being very impatient but i thought at least one person would have requested details.. house is on with local EA and Rightmove
Double check that it will come up in a search on RM. When we first went on I couldnt get our house to come up when I searched by number of bedrooms or by the nearest town. I got the EA to put the number of bedrooms in the heading & they did a tweak & then it appeared in search listings.0 -

August is not the time to expect much. See my figures at #4650 above.0 -

Hi Rosered100,
Its showing on the RM website not sure if people have looked on there except me of course checking to make sure its on there lol, i feel a little more positive today though that someone may want to view at sometime .
Thanks for the stats Not_Loaded looks like we have got to sit tight then not good when you have seen the house you really want but im positive today going to declutter the loft :eek:with 7 in my family i know theres going to be loads..0 -

Until we went on the market that was the only property website I used - had never heard of rightmove. If you are on it, you can see what houses people have looked at in the last 7 days that have also viewed your property. It gives quite a good insight & shows what the competition is as far as the buyers are concerned.rosered100 wrote: »Scroll to the bottom of the page , it says "In the last 7 days, other people that looked at this property also looked at these:" with the photos & details.
I fiddle mine;) If the other houses are much cheaper than mine, I click through to others in the area than are on for a higher price so that mine looks a bargain in comparison. It seems to work in changing the pictures the following day.
I ocassionally look at findaproperty when I get bored of RM just to see if there's anything different, but since they generallly seem to have the same stuff on I just stick to RM as I find the format easier to use, especially to view photos. Saying that, I agree that seeing what others viewed may be useful. Thanks for the tip - I have just gone on and fiddled mine a bit so will see if it makes any difference tomorrow (to be fair the ones that show up today seem to be what I've looked at in the past on FAP, which makes me think I'm the only one looking at my house listing!)
A combination of obsessively watching RM for the last 3 months as well as getting email updates sent to me , and using property bee.
LOL, same here! :rotfl:
Still nothing here. The RM stats that useless EA promised me on Thursday after my specific request for them (which by his own admission only takes 10 mins to download and send) haven't shown up. Definitely going to try and give notice after 14 weeks, they really are hopeless.2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

supermum, I would take a guess that August is a difficult month to sell anyway. People with kids are on holiday etc., which I guess is your target market?
We didn't hear anything for a week when ours went live, and that was back in the Spring, which is supposedly a good time to sell?! I've no idea about these things!0 -

Now would be the perfect time to have a viewing for my house, three neighbours are away, so there are less cars and less noise from kids. But alas no viewings in sight, one ea did tell us rightmove stats, but to be quite honest I am only interested in people wanting to view, not that someone clicked on the house on rightmove, it was probably just me looking at the pictures. Clicking on the property on rm doesn't tell me anything as I do it to others but it doesn't mean that I want to buy the house.0

this selling malarky is pee'ing me off. we had one offer we declined as it was for what IMO was a stupidly low price. Since then its all went quiet on the viewing front. No viewers at all in July. In july 3 other homes in my immediate area all came on the market. One is 5k less that ours needing modernisation, 2 are 2 k less than ours with no central heating and a dated interior and the 4th is same price as ours and looks like its not been decorated since the late 70's.
I am just at a loss as to what to do, I know a few others selling in the same area and they seem to be suffering with the same lack of buyers. the whole market from flats to detatched homes just seems flat. I am quite willing to drop the price but for size and condition it does seem well priced feedback has been positive one couple said they were very interested but their AIP needed a 15% deposit and they only had 10%, another siad they liked the place but wanted an allocated smace rather than just a 1st come 1st served residents car park and the 3rd was more negitive but silly, our 2nd bedroom is lilac and pink with butterflies and flowers and their feedback was 2nd bedroom girly and they are expecting a boy.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
we had a viewing set for saturday so we tidied up as usual and I had to postpone other plans. Guess what it was a no show with no notice and now when they ring the number it is like its no phone as well. I think I will still be selling this time next year at this rate.0

I can hardly believe it after over 13 weeks and massive amounts of aggro, finally it is done, :j :j :j
Best of luck to everyone else who is desperately trying to sell. It does work in the end, but it takes FOREVER and you age about 10 years in the process.0
