    Hooray - congratulations vet8!

I'm waiting for a viewing right now so there's still a chance I could exchange this year!
  • Congratulations from me too vet8.

Still waiting for feedback from the viewing last Tuesday at the moment. Chased the EA today but no call back as yet so either it's bad news or they're still waiting too.

    Starting to get humpy again.

 congratulations vet8 I know it has been hard going for you.

I never thought I was the type to get stressed. I generally let most "stressful" situations just wash over me. I'm the sort of person that gets absorbed by the task at hand and forgets about the other problems until they float to the surface. And right now there is plenty going on at work to absorb my attention.

And yet house-buying-and-selling is most definitely getting to me. I'm pretty sure it is the constant not-knowing that is wearing me down. I THINK I'm ready to exchange contracts on my sale. I THINK my buyer wants to complete next week. I THINK I've got enough time to move out by then. I THINK I'm ready to exchange contracts on my purchase. I THINK I'll be able to complete both on the same day. I THINK I've negotiated enough storage space amongst family and friends if it doesn't work out. I THINK my budget balances so that I'll come out of this whole thing being able to afford the house and the work that's needed to get moved in. But I don't KNOW for sure that any of these are correct. I'm hoping my solicitor can tell me tomorrow when he is back from his holiday (at least some of those answers anyway!) but until then I can only guess.

I just want to fast-forward to Christmas to check that its all gonna work out OK and then we can come back to this point and I can live through it my usual calm laid back way :D

Hmm, viewers are upstairs taking measurements. Could I hope that this is a good sign?

Right then, officially changed EA's today. Some optimism has returned!

Hope new EA gets us a viewing or 2, maybe even an offer, as 9 weeks with the last EA and NO viewings or offers wasnt fun!

    Fingers crossed!

Best of luck to everyone else who is desperately trying to sell. It does work in the end, but it takes FOREVER and you age about 10 years in the process.

    Congratulations Vet....

Can you refresh my memory how long were you on the market for?

Am i allowed to join you?

My hubby is driving me mad he has illusions a grandure (sp?)

I keep telling him we wont get what he wants and its only temporary until we are back on our feet.

He is completely burying his head in the sand and im doing everything by myself.

I cant seem to shake him out of it and get him to help me to prepare the house for evaluations i cannot imagine how he is going to be come actually selling and exchanging etc.
