Not excited been there, got the T.shirt, even had people come for three viewings in ONE day, start negtiations at the house, never to be heard from again, so bit non plussed about it all now really, and this person is in a chain, whereas all the other offers, havent ever been, mind you that can focus the mind a little more!

Accepted offer Sat 6th, memo of sale from EA received Wed 10th. Wrong solicitor details for us. Called in & they redid it & I hand delivered it to solicitors at 11am Wed 10th. Friday morning receive all particulars re sale from other solicitors. Phoned them & informed them we were not using them. Nothing from own solicitor. Still nothing by this morning so phoned them up. I was told that hey had dug out the old file from last year & there would be a letter coming out to us soon. In post this morning they have also received details from other solicitor, which they will be dealing with.

I have now informed them that I do not want things left on someones desk for a week but dealt with as soon as it comes in. I also will collect any letters etc in person so forms etc can be back at solicitors at 9am next morning. I will become a real nuisance if necessary. I know they are doing a job & as such have no sense of urgency but it is no wonder people get stressed over moving.

Phoned purchaser to ask her if she is told at any time that her solicitor is waiting for a reply from ours can she please ring me so I can chase them up.

Good luck for this afternoon pawpurrs.

Charliestwins, sorry your offer wasn't accepted. I think you may be right that EA was trying to get you to up your offer.

We iniatilly put in low offer on this house, then on 2nd viewing with DH & kids EA told us there was someone else after it who could proceed same as us. Being naive at the time (re EA tricks) I had been a little over enthusiastic with comments to EA on first viewing. We immediately upped to asking price as we really wanted it. On saying that it had just been reduced by 10K This was April 08 before the crash, so we were quite happy with price we paid & still are.
