Oh Kittie! That gives me the horrors about exchanging and completing at different times, I couldn't stand the stress of that .... tho I know doing it simultaneously is also full of horrors. Its full of horrors anyway, isn't it :(

Hope you can sort it all.

I used to think that completion date was set in stone once exchange happened but IT ISN`T, any party can cause a delay. What a nightmare for those all completing on the same day in a chain.

Right!! well now I have to get busy, to get my mind off this, otherwise I`ll comfort eat

What a nightmare for you kittie, I hope you don't have to wait too long!

I'm still waiting to hear from our prospective buyer to see if they will raise their offer. Had a quick chat with EA earlier today who said he'd left them a message yesterday but they haven't got back to him, which he said wasn't exactly a good sign (breathe, breathe)...he's gonna chase them again today, but I am in an absolute state...didn't sleep all night, feel sick that I'm gonna get a call to say they've changed their minds :(

Why oh why does it have to be so painful :(

Oh Az ((hugs)). Nil desperandum, they might be seeing if they can get together the extra cash, or they might just be playing games to see if you'll crack. I have my fingers and toes crossed for you.

I have just spoken to our allocated 'sales progressor' and our chain is complete :) Our vendors found a place and their vendors have another property to move to so they are looking to complete no later than the end of July. I can't wait. But at the same time I am still looking at Rightmove and hoping we have made the right choice of house... I am not going to change my mind, but it just feels soooo huge this time, much harder than when I was a footloose !!!!less FTB!

Kittie hope your completion nightmare smooths out soon.

Hehe, thanks Sphynx, my desperandum shows more on here (thank Crunchie for this support thread), although I'm totally making my EA work for his money lol. Impatience is my virtue unfortunately....I want to know either way NOW so that I can despair for a bit and move on, or start jumping for joy lol.

So hope it's the latter....thanks for the hugs :)

Squish our house was up for OIEO £190k last week, so I took the OIEO off to generate more interest, which has worked with these viewers coming in after. They've come in with an opening offer of £180k. It is low, but I'm hoping we can meet somewhere in between, on the premise that usually people don't give their final offer in their first go...will see what happens. My biggest worry is the worst case scenario of them changing their minds and walking away...has happened before, so my heart is in my mouth atm!!

Well after having the house valued by 3 different estate agents we have chosen one. Called them and someone is coming out this afternoon to sort out the paperwork etc and get the house on the market!! We are selling up and moving into rented accomodation due to financial circumstances. I have been really calm so far but feeling really stressed today now we have actually started the ball rolling!!!!

You know, the big stresses of this process (will I get an offer, should I take a low offer, is this the one that will go to completion, etc) I can cope with. Its a bit like a rollercoaster - not a big fan of the huge ups and downs but I kinda expected them when I signed up for this ride.

Its the little things that are actually killing me. I'm not a tidy person. Keeping the house in a state of respectability just in case "the perfect buyer" (who must exist, it can't be a myth!) can only view it today. Manic tidying up sessions to hide all the stuff that (no matter how hard I try to maintain respectability) gets left lying around. Trying to remember where I stashed that was on view so I could find it and then got hidden from view somewhere...

My current crisis of confidence is laundry. I can never decide when its a good time to do laundry. So I let the laundry basket fill up until I have nothing to wear. And then the house resembles a washhouse as there are drying clothes all over the place. And not enough places to hang things out to dry. And more panic that the perfect buyer will only come along when its like this. Admittedly last time I covered the place in wet washing and got a call from the EA for a viewing the next day, I took it all to my mother's to hang out to dry, and it magically came home ironed as well - but I can't abuse that perk too often!

OK so I know the perfect buyer isn't going to show up at short notice like this. But its these little things that are getting to me the most at the moment.

Oh if only I had a real problem to worry about, like a completion date or a declined offer.

    whinge over!
