Firstly I must say thank you for the kind responses and comments re our ‘now proceedable’ viewer. (my #3372 above) Azkaban, Elona, Maya, Karmacat, Heygringo, thanks!

She’s asking us for a further £10k drop because of her ‘problems’. We’ve offered her a £3k drop, (I called it a gift!) which she hasn’t gone for yet. If she doesn’t grab it with both hands shortly I’m thinking of retracting it, as she’s made us both feel so bad.

I would like that to be my course of action & I would probably enjoy (in a cutting off of ones nose, to spite ones face, sort of thing) doing it. But I would still hang in there for a sale by pushing the EA to chase her up & highlight the fact that with her attitude, she could lose the whole deal.

    Good luck.

Thanks. The good thing is that our viewings have really picked up since the election.

I think to a degree she realises the stupidity of her ways, but she is probably being badly advised by her EA or the ex husband wanting his cut.

After all, the time to get the last bit of the maths together was clinching her deal on her house.

Or maybe she just fancies a new car as well as a new house…

Some people are just greedy :( I hope you get a better offer on your house and you can wave goodbye to her not loaded.

Sorry to hear that xtra_time. I suppose they're finalising their viewing list. As MB says, at least they weren't a no-show...

Beejay, rather than change, we went multi-agency with no tie in and an agreement of winner takes all. Whoever gets the buyer - gets the commission.

    Az

Our present EA would have gone 70/30 with another EA, but the one we have coming round on Monday for a new valuation, wouldn't.
Anyway, I've now cancelled our original EA who has pointed out if a previous viewer.....etc. etc.
Latest on the housing market news according to the good ol' BBC, (so it must be true) :D is that property prices are rising again by as much as 5% The world has gone mad.:rotfl:

Thanks. She seemed nice at the beginning. It’s hard to say whether it’s greed or stupidity really.

What worries me is that she may come back again and again (say, after her survey AND our survey) begging bowl in hand. No logic to it I know, but there hasn’t been any so far.

I’m beginning to see her as a complete waste of everybody’s time. :o

    We have sold!!!!:j:j:j

Keys handed over and cheque deposited in the bank this afternoon.

Had a look on Rightmove and nothing new come up we would be interested in and most are priced for "top of the market" and not realistic.

Trying to prod DH into doing letter drop next week to find out what might be coming up for sale.

House we are renting is still full of boxes and can't find stuff but will just keep plodding on and it should get sorted out eventually.

No one has snapped up the bungalow yet- let's hope that does not take three years to sell as well.

Best of luck to everyone over the weekend.
