that must be utter torture!!
I really am not the personality type for house selling!! I just hate not being able to control it!!
I wish I could go and sit in the EA's office and do the job myself- I want to actively sell this place (well all 3 of them) and wish I could do something!!:silenced:They Were Up In Arms wrote: »I think tabskitten is a crying, walking, sleeping, talking, living troll :cool:0 -

oh ditto ! We went to see a house on Saturday that would be practically perfect for us. We just need to shift this one now. Further to some very constructive posts on here, I called the EAs and had a chat with them - explained that I was disappointed with # of viewings & photos. We had a good discussion & are going to re-do some photos & really try to push the property details out again to everyone.
I don't want to jinx things, but we both really got the "this is it" feeling when we walked through the door. We've got a viewing lined up for Tuesday, so here's hoping that it's a sign !

Wow Dillence - you've done well to get interest so soon. Can I ask what area you're in - we've been on the market two full weekends, and not a sniff of interest!
We are in Leicestershire. Houses do not come up for sale very often on the road we are selling on, in fact the last one near us was 5 years ago.
The couple who came were the perfect couple for the property, they talked about second viewings etc but I am not sure that they didn't just come for a look round to be nosy!
Hope you get someone soon.0 -
I am haing an estate agent come out to look and value our place on Thursday.
Can I ask what eeryones thoughts are on estate agents. We have decided to get 3-4 out to visit and see who we like the idea of so we have first approached the EA linked to the solicitor I used for purchase. The solicitor is lovely and very very efficient but I was not impressed with the EA at all. To be fair the only person from their I hae dealt with is a receptionist type person who made an appointment for the EA to come around to visit.
I personally didn't find her helpful at all.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -

we got 3 to come out over the course of a couple of days, 2 of them I liked (went with gut feeling on this) but one of them was offering a better deal and seems to sell most of the houses in the village I live in. (I figured they would give better coverage, as most people would go to them if they want to buy here) They also have a lot of sold signs around compared to the others, so they must be doing something right.
Hope you find one you like/who gives you a good deal.
Its still early days for us, so don't know if I made the right decision yet.:eek:0 -
Quick pricing question - I bought my house in Sep 2005 for £93k and it is currently on the market for £93k. Am I pricing it too high? We have done the kitchen / bathroom since being here so they are new.0

There’s no useful description of the property and no room details showing on RightMove. You’re close to the hospital, railway station, and town centre, and none of that is mentioned.
Is the EA that busy that they can’t compile a blurb? Maybe they’re charging no commission?
i have emailed the estate agents to ask about you valid points. we did have a floor plan on the brouchure link but it seems to have vanished.
Thank you to all posters0
