Hey guys. New to this thread so please be nice to me.
We have our house on the market with local estate agents, right move, zoopla and the property guide
We had an offer accepted before Christmas with the completion date of February. We purchased our dream home with the view to do it up (as it’s a shed) before Christmas so that we would not have to pay Stamp Duty and had a buyer (yes we were fully aware of the risks involved in this). Anyway as im sure you have guessed our buyer pulled out, seems they had been lying about things from the start. Anyway, so now we have 2 mortgages to pay and are getting married in June so all a bit agggghh.
Trying to get the house on as many sites as possible that say that they are free for us to advertise. We are on HomeonSale, Propertysell and Houseladder currently. Do you know any others that are good or indeed any to avoid?
I know this is not the best time to sell and as the weather picks up so the buyers will come crawling out of the woodwork, but we really do need to sell sooner rather than later to be able to pay for the renovations on the new house (of which we are doing all ourselves so don’t have to pay builders but at the same time don’t want it just standing there looking like a pile of bricks lol)
Cheers and god luck to all

You all seem to have different tales at the moment - good luck to everyone. I have been trying to sell for 5.5 months (half hearted argh as lost will to live) with 80 viewers and not one offer. Reduced my price again by £10k and it is now one of the cheapest 2 beds in the whole area and beyond. Honestly I thought I will take the hit (its £10k under what I paid in 2006) but at least it will sell. Well almost 12 viewings later (thats in one week!) and still nothing. Two people liked it and are considering but are still wanting to look around. One person did not want to offer as the floorboards squeak. I mean seriously. It is a 1900's conversion after all.
So general feedback continues as too small - even at the reduced rate no one is biting and now feel so miserable as I may have just left the price at this rate. Feel utterly bombarded by viewings - although agent does vast majority. Am seriously going to consider an auction or even one of those awful sell it quick places if there is no offer by June. I don't think I could actually give my flat away at the moment. And I mean it when I say it is in a nice area, 10 mins from the tube, all decorated etc. It might not be perfect but it really isn't awful. There are some dumps out there in bad areas (I have been looking with a friend who is buying) and I can't seriously see where my competition is. Have now resorted to contacting all local housing associations to see if they want to buy. Sorry for the moan but another Friday means more disruption on a Saturday and more disappoitment on Monday. And yes I do really want to sell as I want to buy a family home with my partner.0 -

There’s no useful description of the property and no room details showing on RightMove. You’re close to the hospital, railway station, and town centre, and none of that is mentioned.
Is the EA that busy that they can’t compile a blurb? Maybe they’re charging no commission?0 -
Well I just got down on my knees and PRAYED with all my might that my TIDWORTH flat moves!!!

31 weeks in now and had viewing no20 at teatime. Turns out it was a couple who viewed already, oct/nov time, their buyer at that time went awol, but now they have another who seems legit and wants to move to their house asap and our house is one of only 3 properties that our viewers can afford and in the right area for them.
Must not allow myself to get too excited. As me and OH have said for the last 20 times now, "At least the house is tidy" which is about the only positive thing we're getting from all this at the moment!0 -
We had our two viewings today and both went really really well. The first couple had already been to a few viewings before ours and commented how much nicer our layout was.
The second viewer also liked the house, however he said he has another 6 to view before he makes a decesion.
Just a case of sitting tight now!0
