well, the 10.00 viewing yesterday went ok, but the 12.30 were a no show. and on a sunday of all days! grrr. we are seriously thinking of binning that EA (we are dual agent), as they've only ever sent us people who don't turn up!

that is so annoying isn't it....does your EA open on sundays, so you can ge them to chase?

i had a no show on a sunday and i rang the EA who chased the viewers who said they had mixed up the times........they thought they where coming 2 hours later :( ..........we organised them to come straight away and then at least we could do some family stuff in the afternoon

My Sunday viewing - dont think they were interested, lots of negative comments particularly about the pond and the (real) well in the garden - nothing thats not available in the details.

Surprise viewing this evening - but I think they are dreamers. not even got theirs on the market.

So six viewings since September. Under offer then fell though before Xmas. No offers since.

On the upside I still can't find anything to buy.

Hi All, move went fairly smoothly (apart from our sale completing about 2 hours before our purchase did but hey ho!) Good luck to everyone on the market and thanks for everyone's advice!

So pleased for you Mrs W - hope you are all very happy in your new home !!

potty - I'm am soooo pleased for you - third time lucky I think!!! Keep us posted. Why did it take them so long to offer - it's quite odd?

    Hi Hopejack, thank you !!

Apparently they were and still are on holiday - their Daughter in Law put the offer in, we asked them if they could up it a little bit yesterday, did so without any hesitation or asking for extras so we accepted their offer yesterday. (As before they were waiting for the offer on their home to be "seconded" on!).
We are very pleased but we are not letting ourselves get excited - such a strange feeling - we have had SOOO many disappointments in the last year it seems too good to be true !!
Its a lovely feeling to know someone else loves your home too and wants to live in it - you do wonder don't you when you don't have many viewings and even those sometimes come back negative or insulting !!!

Its too weird that we have accepted offer for 3rd time and been on the market for exactly a year now - we really think its fate - plus, there are two properties on the market now that we really love - when last year the house we had set our hearts on sold before we did and there was nothing else that we loved (we just settled for the only one that was there, paying way over the odds (valuation) and it was a "sad" home) so perhaps last year wasn't the time for us to move ??!!!

As before, here in the Midlands I know the market has really picked up, houses are selling within a week of going on the market .... and that's not just the cheaper ones, 3 bed semis/ detached @ £150k and the 4 beds that didn't go anywhere before Christmas have been snapped up @ £250k.

I will stay in touch on here and look forward to hearing how your viewings ... offers go - good luck everyone - Spring is on it's way .... best time for homes to sell !!!!

We never know when exactly to ‘stand down’ following a no-show.

I always wonder if, like yours, they’ve just got the time wrong?

I have a fear of just getting back to normal, with a pig’s head stewing away on the hob, and Ding Dong! We’re here! :)

been a long time reader of this thread, accepted an offer on our house last week, buyers survey has been done a few days afterward and looking to complete 1st week in march. (buyer's rental ends at end of feb)

all the right signs so far, just getting the process moving as fast as possible - we will be moving into my fathers house

everything crossed and touching wood to make sure things go as well as possible!

starting to look for properties now, a bit nervous that this may jinx it as we don't want to tempt any reason for our sale not to happen

things for us have changed somewhat - for the good i hope

our sale is on track afaik for a week on friday, we have packed and moved most of our items except essential furniture - moving out into rented, just fixing all the little things i had put off to make it perfect for our buyer

we have found a house, 1st off rejected @ 15% under asking, then upped it a bit with a deadline, accepted @ 12% under asking

all very exciting so sorting all the finances atm, hope to move sometime in June, just after we get married. It is going to be an expensive summer :)

pretty stressful atm, so hoping all runs smoothly

Have finally nag er persuaded DH we need to repaper the kitchen ceiling and that is being done on Wednesday and Thursday this week. DH is away all day on Friday and DD comes back on Saturday for her 21st.

Phone rings and - you have guessed it - viewers!!!!!! Explained the situation and they have been pencilled in for a week on Thursday.

They have their house on the market but no offers yet so I won't be holding my breath!

  • Hi

I am new to this thread so be gentle! OH and I put our house on the market 2 days ago. Have seen something that we like (doesn't seem to be much else around in my area at the moment), so fingers crossed no one snaps it up before we can.

I think that we have been realistic with our pricing (in fact went for the lowest valuation that all of the EA's gave us as they seemed to be more straight with us).

Just waiting for the viewings to come rolling in :p

We put our house on the market about 2 weeks now at a realistic price according to lots of folk. The house across the road is the exact same as our and it was priced higher - anyway they have sold since the 1 viewer we had viewed them afterwards and liked theirs instead - it is disappointing but finger crossed there is someone out there are likes our wee house. We have another viewing this week but they have their house on the market also.

Been advised that there is a house nearby trying to sell privately so we may go to view at the weekend and see if we like and see what happens with ours. The last time I move I managed to sell myself within 1day so it is totally different this time. Good luck to everyone

Viewing form last night said the plot is too small. These are the ones who haven't even got theirs on the market so no great loss.
