Oh Kymie, can you not move down to Sussex as well and leave the keys with an agent. I saw a wonderful cottage near Bogner. How long have you been on the market now?

We've been on since end Oct/beg Nov. Hubby and no1 son are staying with the inlaws - they are sharing a room that was the dining room in a 1bed bungalow! We cant afford to rent down there and doubt we'd be able to let ours out up here as market is flooded. Am also starting to panic a bit now as read on RM that asking prices were going up, I didnt believe it til I saw one of my saved houses on Globrix have put their price up by 5k! They are at the bottom of my list as they are in a really bad area (my 'if all else fails and we have no money left' property it was!) and they have been on the market as long if not longer than us so why would they put up their price  Where did you see the cottage Pawpurrs?

Hello everyone. Like kymie, I've just found you all and speed-read the thread.

Congratulations to Marc and Devilot, and to anyone else who I've missed. Sorry to hear your last news on the old thread Pawpurrs, but at least the new agent is a plus, so who knows what the next few weeks may bring?

Though I'm a buyer now, I'll drop by occasionally to see how you're all getting on. As someone who spent almost 16 months on the market, your highs and lows detailed here are familiar territory!

I've just read a newsletter from Money Matters which says that 10 lenders have announced new mortgages for 90% LTV and Lloyds TSB has reintroduced their 95% LTV. Abbey are also offering 95% LTV to existing customers. I'm with Abbey and they've confirmed they do offer 95% with a higher lenders fee of £2,400 to those with 'good credit'

Good news if it's true as it might help the FTB situation and ultimately mean more buyers.

    One can but hope......

Still no viewers for me (only 2 since going on the market 5 weeks ago). I was about to drop the price but think I'll hold on another week or so to see if things change.

I accepted an offer for 2k under the asking on Tuesday, and have just had an offer accepted for the house we wanted for 15k under the asking this morning.

A week ago i thought we'd be spending months more on the market - those of you stuck out there, do remember that it can all turn around really quickly when you're not expecting it to !
