After 7 months on the market we accepted an offer last week, making a loss on what we paid in 2005 but thats the way of the world.

We are a bit twitchy though as the buyer came for a second viewing on tuesday (accepted offer last monday) and wants to come back with her parents tonight. Is she aftera second opinion or just showing off her prospective 1st home? Time will tell.

Nothing we want to buy so will look to rent in the meantime...any advice about looking for a 'stop gap' rental you can fit 3 kids and a pregnant wife into? Seems like all the family sized houses are 'long term' rentals...

Don't worry, our buyers brought both sets of parents for a viewing after making their offer, I worried at the time because one of the parents was trying to put them off by saying they had 'heard' we had subsidence problems, quite how they knew about them when we didn't and it didn't exist is anyones guess!:rotfl:No idea where to look for rentals other than RM and Globrix, or local paper?

Well, waiting for the phone call to say our vendors solicitors have recieved the money and we can complete today, if not it will be first thing tomorrow, I'm pulling my hair out here - hurry up!!!

I most certainly not be deserting you, when I'm back online I'll be here offering 'helpful' advice, I feel like an expert on the whole process now anyway - we had relatives around last night who advised us they had just put in on a repo, I bet they walked away wishing they'd never said anything by the time I'd filled them with dread and 'advice'!!:rotfl:

Oh Goody. Stick around, I hope the move goes all ok, and that your new home is everything you hope for.
Crack open a nice bottle of Bubbly and have a nice takeaway in your new home, the first night is allways so exciting, when are you planning to move in>?

Well if we get the keys tonight, we'll go up and have a mooch but our bed is in bits so possibly won't sleep up there tonight, apart from which I've put a bolognese in the slow cooker at the in-laws so I'm deffo eating here tonight!:rotfl:

Probably ask OH to take the day off tomorrow and do the majority then, so I suppose tomorrow is official 'moving in' day, although there really isn't that much left to move!!

The vendors said it was ok! After a shaky start I can't fault them, they've been great; we moved our stuff from the old house straight up there so we didn't need two massive moving days and have to pay for storage etc.

    Tick tock, watching the clock!

FOUND YOU!!! Sorry, just spent 2hrs catching up! Congratulations Devilot! And to the rest of you that have sold. No news from me, even though we dropped the price again just over a week ago, not a single viewing. Still cheaper than a 3 bed down the road (we are 4 bed with twice size garden) and dont think we can drop any more. For those of you who put up a private ad, where did you do it and how much was it? Have any of you done anything else to be more pro-active? Im so fed up! DS will be starting his last year of school in Sept, and being so far away I know he isnt getting the support (or should I say kick!) he needs to get him through. His work has already suffered the last 8 months! DH tries but schoolwork isnt his thing! Still, they are bonding so all is good for them lol while I'm on the way to a free visit to the funny farm:rotfl: Spent this week gardening and getting rid of more stuff (hoping the kids wont notice half their toys missing hehe). Just in case we ever get viewer number 4!
