M5 Inside lane ban?

Did i miss something? is there a ban on vehicles in the inside lane of the M5? Just had the misfortune of driving down this motorway and was amazed (but not surprised) to see all the caravan idiots sticking to the middle lane like they were on tracks even when there was NOTHING in the inside lane. :mad:

I hate them why do they have to be so inconsiderate of other road users?

I do enjoy going past them when they are broken down though, makes me laugh. :rotfl:
Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly, and for the same reason.

    They should have a driving test for people towing caravans.I saw a 4x4 overtaking with a caravan in the fast lane.

    Perhaps it is you that needs to take a driving test, there is no such thing as a " fast lane ".. ;)

    To be fair, its not just caravans, so many people sit in the middle lane when the inside lane is empty:mad: just because its the inside lane it does not mean you can not go fast!!!

    I don't really understand the issue with this. Why can't you just go in the outside line and overtake them? Thats what it's there for after all.

    Middle lane hoggers are a nightmare.

    Indeed, the same speed limit applies to all lanes, the first lane should be used for normal driving, any other lane is for overtaking only.

    It's all down to the bad converstion of German cars to right hand drive. The ecu still thinks the're in lane 1.

    Because along with everyone else in the holiday/rush hour traffic its a job to squeeze into that lane and generally there is a queue just to get past the prat!

    Not just caravanners, main problem is that anyone hogging the middle lane is making a three lane motorway into a two lane

    And if you are in the inside lane you have to cross two lanes to pass the selfish t*****s!
