So I handed in my notice at about 11:30 this morning and was asked to leave immediately at about 13:30 when the manager came in! But new HR manager called & was adorable & told me not to feel unloved as they can't wait for me to start!!

I have a month off with pay ... oh what to do!

Going shopping tomorrow, yay! :D Not allowed to do bank but hopefully will be able to finish my NVQ somehow! Almost finished & it would be a real shame not to complete it all.

Onwards & upwards as they say ...

Go you. A month off means you'll get all your holiday pay etc when they pay you so time for a chill out and relax.

Can you finish your NVQ at the new job?

That's such a good result, hate working notice spending every day thinking "I don't want to be here anymore!!"

    Thanks KJ :D

I'm hoping I get the holiday actually paid as I haven't had any & should have ten days, or there abouts, owed to me.

Called my NVQ assessor & as she's based in a hospital she wants me to go there on Tuesday. I've already signed 4 units off so hopefully will have it all pretty much done then!

I feel a bit bad putting my good news on here when I know that others are having a really tough time but I really do know how lucky I am and I do consider this just luck, it could easily still go pear-shaped. And the new place has so much work to do, but in an exciting way.

No-one should begrudge you some good luck. You've a month of gardening leave and your final payment should include your due holidays (double check your contract some people count this as part of the gardening).

Have a good break and you'll be raring to go when you start your new role.

    Thanks KJ

Going out with a friend soon but will write a list of everything I need to do before I start work again. I need a rest but I want to achieve something in August!

Think I'm still a bit shocked about how I had to leave immediately. Never had that before. The manager was so angry, more at my colleague than me as I'm junior I'm guessing. Didn't get to say goodbye or anything. I really did want to say goodbye to the patients the most really, when you work with they trust in you and I feel I bit like I've just abandoned them. (This is probably much more about me than them!)

I don't think the ticker likes my mac!

Anyway saved £500 today, would have been £900 but I need new clothes, shoes & a haircut. :o

So I now have £3000 for the LB. Don't think I will make the August target!
