So this week I'm not really feeling up to much! Feeling very fat & fed up with myself and then trying to put that in perspective because I am just feeling sorry for myself for no reason!
Anyway, I have done very well with the shopping so far this month (it's only the 7th!) and have only spent £21.94! :T On top of that I did buy my friend's little boy a card & a bday present for his 2nd bday but it only came to £3.45 which was brilliant! Also, called my sister to say what are we doing about Ma's bday this month and she said that we have already bought it! Completely forgot about that! Just need to get a card - does anyone else find this difficult? Getting a card that doesn't say 'To the best mom in the world!' or 'Thank you for all the things you did for me!' Or is it just me? Because she isn't & she didn't & I guess the colour of bitter isn't really attractive on me!!
Anyho ... I have my interview tomorrow & I'm ... completely detached actually! I think I'm SO nervous it's almost like I can't accept that it's happening tomorrow! Also, it's a bit complicated but bascially I work for a fairly large organisation but the hospital I work in has a 'contract' with a local uni that means we get x amount of training for having their students here on placements. The problem is they never tell me how much funding is available & I have applied for this course therough that contract. They won't tell me if I can have the funding or not - I'm guessing they are waiting to see if I get offered a place - so I applied for our Central Office to fund the course which has been turned down today as it is not relevant to my role. Prolem is the first year alone costs £2150! So if I don't get the funding I guess LB will be waiting a bit longer for that car!
Fingers crossed I get a place & then fingers crossed even tighter that it's a funded place!!
Going to stay at work late to get some NVQ work done & then might try & do some exercising. Was meant to do it last night but by the time LB got home from work neither of us wanted to! VERY BAD!
Must try harder!
Oh & flakey friend messaged me on FB at the weekedn. Yes we must meet up but no mention of when!!Mortgage: Jun 08 £155300~Repayment Made: £4300~Remaining: Mar 10 £151000DFW Nerd 1190

I know exactly what you mean about the card thing
I have a relative who I can never find a card for as they are all so inappropriatley gushing!!
Fingers crossed for the course

Hi,
Good luck tomoz and as for the card how about a pretty one with nowt inside and simply write Happy Birthday (or whatever you fancy).:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Thank you for the support!!

It's been a very long day! Started at 09:30 at the uni, we had a intro to the course and then discussion on regulation until 11:30. Then we had individual interviews. Mine was at 14:30!!! So I had to sit around for three hours! Luckily I chatted with others from the group and someone else had her interview at 14:30 as well & as she lives not far from me I gave her a lift home. Anyway my interview was OK until she says how old are you? Then I think sh*t this is not good!! Then she keeps on coming back to it & says she doesn't want to make such a big issue out of it but she wants to be sure that I have considered other careers first!! What like counselling is a fallback when nothing else works!?! I know that isn't what she means but I was just so annoyed that I had to wait for the last interview to defend my age when they already knew it!! I'm 26 btw. I think this is a reasonable age to start this work ... she started talking about life experience & I was like I have that & more! Some 50 year olds haven't experienced what I have! Which she acknowledged!
So I leave thinking I doubt I'm going to get a place but the girl that was also last, is 22, and she was told she was too young & wouldn't be getting a place! So maybe I changed her mind?????
Just so disappointed.
I won't find out for about 2 weeks ...

Just got home and I'm so tired! I have to work tomorrow, got longs day at the weekend and have MIL2B (possibly maybe one day!) saying on Sunday night which means I have to clean the whole house and have loads of NVQ stuff to do! I've no ebaying for ages! MUST get back onto that! Tomorrow I need to meal plan & do the shopping & as much cleaning as I can do before I go into work.
AND I have a headache! Boo hoo to me!!
Going to get affection from LB now

I'm in such a bad mood!!! Yesterday a ward called me & offered me a long day tomorrow & I said I can't as I already have a long day on another ward, now they have just called me & cancelled my early!!:mad::mad: Called the other ward & they have got their shift covered!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad: So I'm down £40!! Called LB to get some sympathy & he just too much of a boy & bit crap so I've ended up putting the phone down on him! I haven't gone into work either as I woke up with a really painful crook neck!! Poor me!
On the bright side, I have done some washing (but it looks like it's going to rain!) and I have meal planned and done the shopping. I have only spend £14 something!!! Shocking! Either I've got super better at meal planning & shopping or I've forgotten something huge!!

Hello MSE World!! :hello::hello::hello:
It's been a long time!!
So a lot has happened! I've been doing overtime, not as much as I had hoped as some shifts were canceled but still lots which is good. But my huge news is that I have a new job!! :T:T:T
My colleague, who got us a free night in a hotel, has been headhunted and insisted that I work with her too! Otherwise she wouldn't take the job, so they took me to! And gave me a £5k pay rise!! Woohoo!!
:D:D They are getting us an office in my home town, so no more 45 minute drives to work!! I can't wait to start it's so exciting! They're a really small facility at the moment with big big plans and it's so exciting to be getting involved with the at this point.
I haven't been able to stop smiling all day!
The only slight thing that keeps niggling at me is that fact that I won't be able to do any over time and so won't be able to pay LB back as early as I had hoped. I don't think that I have put this on here but I had hoped to give him the money back on Christmas Day which would have been possible had I carried on working at that level until the end of November. But this is better in the longer term for me! I will also get my weekends back! I'm giving my notice in on Monday and I start with this new company on 1st September. I think I have at least 2 weeks annual leave as well, so only about 3 weeks left at my current job! I've been there for 5.5 years and it feels so strange to be leaving!
Mohoosive post!! Sorry!! Just sooooo excited!!
