MFD, it could be that your let down is faster on one side than the other... Have you tried starting him on the right and then moving him over to the left? Or he could just be picking up on the fact you are more comfortable feeding on the left... Maybe you hold him differently just ever so slightly and this is why its not an issue when you're lying down?

Just watched Twilight... My husband is a nuisance to watch a film with when it's not one he's particularly interested in... He just takes the pee the whole time... Everytime Edward came on screen he squeaked 'Hello Cedric Digory' and made jokes about Harry and Voldemort... <sigh> and he moans when I talk in the cinema...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

i think that you get even better at hiding it than facing it feelie, my down days are increasing and good days- what are they?
things are not good the now and i just had charlie let himself out the front door and stand in the middle of the road while i was making tea(older 2 were meant to be playing with him), so have now convinced myself that social services will be at the door. between him doing that and the way erin has been screaming people must wonder what im doing to these kids. i locked myself in my room and cried and when OH came in i was even worse.
*hugs* I'm rubbish with the PND symptoms but I can help with the escaping toddler! You need either a chain or top lock on the door ;) Only OH and you could reach it so no chance of the other kids accidentally leaving it unlocked and therefore letting him escape that's what we have to do because Chris can seek out a key and use it

And can we stop the ice cream talk please? We have none and I'm about to get in the car to drive to Warrington to 'help' Sami with her stock of B&J's. How on earth you can have 7 tubs in the freezer I have no idea. Wouldn't last a night here...

Any more labour dust most appreciated. DH is now on strike from his 'duties' as he's declared it's obviously not working. He has suggested a curry tomorrow eve though!
I always fancy it in the shop but then don't want it anymore when I get home  I've 'only' got 2 tubs here now, 6 tubs are on holiday at Mum's while I defrost the freezer - I'm using left over absorbent mats from my home birth to soak up the water  did I just have a good idea?!?!
**Labour dust** I can't wait to see baby T :D
Am I the only one that passes wind myself when trying to wind baby?

    Happens both ends for me!!!
    :o
:shhh: me too usually just burps for me tho :)

Still stinging... grrr (which ironically is how I know it's not that serious - if it was I'd not be able to feel the pain as the nerve receptors would have been too damaged...)
Looking at it there isn't signs of any blisters or anything other than a tiny redness - VERY slight swelling on one finger basically one third of the finger (the middle bit) - but soooo annoying. Not helping that I also have period pains at the moment (have had for a couple of hours :( *sigh*)

At least the munchkin and daddy have gone up to bed to get some sleep... booby milked but not as much in there as normal grrr guessing it's thanks to being stressed about the finger situation lol

I have also read that refusal to recruit widely for a job-share partner for the other part of your job has been ruled out as good business sense, since your company will lose you anyway if they aren't family friendly and re-recruitment for your whole post will be costly as well.

Is that different to what you've read sue? :)
What I haven't read is that they MUST try to recruit a job-sharer.

trust me - if a company does not want someone working parttime it is NOT hard to really find a good reason to deny it...
    Precisely.

Plus, wrt what I've bolded, they could well call your bluff. How many of us / our partners actually WILL hand in our notice if we can't get the hours we want, in a labour market where it's not easy to find another job?

Don't want to frighten feelie, btw, as her OH's boss suggested going part-time when he handed in his notice, I'd say that was hopeful.

I'd say the key thing was to make a good proposal, and there are tips for that on the MA website: doing some work from home, compressed hours (4 long days rather than 5 'normal' ones, changing the way things are done for increased efficiency etc.

Who was it said they were able to go back p/t because someone else wanted to go p/t at the same time? That's ideal.

But I left one job (about 8 years ago now!) because although they were in theory happy for me to job-share, they couldn't recruit my other half. I had reduced my hours, but not as much as I'd wanted, and it was getting difficult to fit it all in. Mind you they couldn't find a f/t replacement for me either ...

Please tell me its not just me ??? I am not weird ...... am I ???
    You are not weird.

Who was thinking all in one sleepsuits were a good idea for adult females on camping / caravan holidays? Either your pelvic floor is in a lot better state than mine, or you've not thought about middle of the night trips to the loo. :rotfl:

Plus you'll need big slippers to go over the feet. Well, I would. I can wander round most places without slippers, but not recently used bathrooms, and definitely NOT toilets with hard floors. Is that just because there's only men in this house apart from me?
