Bruno - Roo chews on me too from time to time and the feeling of "get her away from me!!!" has popped up here too (especially when she's really chomped down on a sore nipple!) - we got/get through it with expressing
I expressed milk for a couple of days to let my nipples recover and then gradually re-introduced the boobie but only when she was hungry but calm.
When my brother and I did the chewee trick on my mum she'd growl at us... apparently it worked
Thanks MrsT, it was similar for OH in the earlier months I think; she tries a firm "No!" rather than a growl ;p but he has quite a few teeth now and I guess that's the main source of woe. We shall see.0 -
feelie, check out maternity action website a bit of a click around will give you and OH lots of useful info to argue your case!
I didn't know this, but apparently an employer can't refuse a request to reduce hours unless they've advertised the remaining hours nationally and been unable to recruit! Sounds hopeful eh?
Thanks Weezl, thats a great link and very helpful. I think they can technically refuse to every consider his request, because of his 7 weeks of paternity leave. It was technically a break in employment, so he doesn't have 26 weeks continuous service. The only reason I can see them refusing is because they want to keep him fulltime, but as he has already resigned when they suggested this, hopefully they know he is serious!I didn't have hyper-wotsit but I had MS from 10 days after conception! _pale_
Are you thinking you've got another bun in there?
Its quite early, and OH thinks I'm probably just imagining it, but I've only ever had this sick feeling once before! I'll wait another week or so, then test. I tested negative at 4, 6 and 10 weeks last time, so even if it is negative I'm going to be wondering, so might aswell save my money and test later. Knowing me, I'm bound to be pregnant, especially as I said I wanted to wait 5 years!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

Thanks Millies mum, you got in there before me, mainly as I have just had to catch up with about 8 pages !! What happened yesterday its almost like the pregnancy thread!!
You need to select which postboxes you are going to use and then register them on the website SBMum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
Feelie apparently the tests are half price in Tesco at the moment
It's on the grabbit board
I think if you're not pregnant then you need to think about precautions. You have been on an emotional roller coaster recently and I think risking another pregnancy is just putting a lot of pressure on you that you don't need right now. If that means condoms then so be it!

Early on... I was hospitalised and severely dehydrated already when they scanned me and found I was 6 weeks... I'm sure I'd been yacking up for a good couple of weeks already by then... Can't remember exactly but think it was about 2-3 weeks before I first felt sick... I only gave in and went to get something for it when I hadn't kept anything down for a couple of days - including water.
It wasn't my fault, I was ambushed! :rotfl:Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Feelie I sort of hope you're not because I know how hard it was for you but then again if you are would you believe it's because god wants to prove to you that you're a fab mummy?
xx
Bruno - at least you are still laughing about it and I hope OH can too? I think you know it's bad when you can't laugh anymore
Postal survey I had assumed I'd get more instruction and the stamps once I'd proved I'm capable of posting 2 letters
3 - he's so gorgeous! Xx0 -
I'm liking the look of the mai tei style slings, I did think the sling meet was a bit far to go but I want to try out goodies (and possibly see what Fritha is like in RL :))
The sling meet is worth the trip, and I'm actually a six foot builder called Dave... ;-)mookiandco wrote: »I have a murron's pouch from freedom slings. I used it for the first few days after her birth when we went out but I felt that she looked squashed in it and there was too much fabric that kept going on her face. I'm not sure if it was the way I was doing it but I havent tried it again since.
Probably not, I'm pretty sure the freedom sling is a bag sling and that is one of the criticisms of bag slings (too much fabric so it goes over the baby's face)I need to eat my way through 7 tubs of ben and jerry's to make room :rotfl:

Fritha I'll race you to Sami's - I'm out of icecream (in my effort to empty the freezer for the new one arriving tomorrow) and life without my buds Ben and Jerry is frightening!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Can a baby grow too fast? HV hasn't weighed Toby in a while, but I've been weighing him at home. He was plodding along the 50th Centile nicely while being fed EBM, but since we made the switch he has rocketed, and today is on about the 90th. I suppose I should try and get to the clinic on Tuesday to get an 'official' weigh shouldn't I?
My freezer is in three sections - milk, icecream and everything else. Strawberry Cornettos and Feasts are my current favourites.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0
