I used it for the first few days after her birth when we went out but I felt that she looked squashed in it and there was too much fabric that kept going on her face. I'm not sure if it was the way I was doing it but I havent tried it again since.
Thats the one we have, and I found it ok when she was tiny, but now she's all squished and so heavy it hurts my shoulder. I've tried her upright in it too, but it doesn't feel secure enough to go hands free, and her little legs look squished poking out of the bottom.I'm liking the look of the mai tei style slings, I did think the sling meet was a bit far to go but I want to try out goodies (and possibly see what Fritha is like in RL :))
i think they look much more comfy. I'm watching a couple of Babyhawk ones on ebay, but if you search Mai Tei, a lot of babyhawk copies come up. Anyone got one?
Random statement - isn't Princes Mrs called Mai Tei?
I received a lovely shiney food diary in the post this morning. I'm guessing its from Bizzie Babies, but there's no instructions, and no email.:beer:0 -

Its quite early, and OH thinks I'm probably just imagining it, but I've only ever had this sick feeling once before! I'll wait another week or so, then test. I tested negative at 4, 6 and 10 weeks last time, so even if it is negative I'm going to be wondering, so might aswell save my money and test later. Knowing me, I'm bound to be pregnant, especially as I said I wanted to wait 5 years!
I'm sure your fine, just get down the docs and get some contraception asap!:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

He was plodding along the 50th Centile nicely while being fed EBM, but since we made the switch he has rocketed, and today is on about the 90th. I suppose I should try and get to the clinic on Tuesday to get an 'official' weigh shouldn't I?
My freezer is in three sections - milk, icecream and everything else. Strawberry Cornettos and Feasts are my current favourites.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

oh ice cream i love the bounty one at the moment! i also have creme egg and dairy milk in the freezer! What's for you won't go past you0 -
Caz, she's probably just upping your supply hun, sure she'll settle back down again in a day or 2
After another grumpy evening of feeding, I took Caitlyn upstairs at about 9:30 to settle her... Transferred her to the crib at about 10 and she woke up, left her there to see if she would settle and she must of done because I fell asleep... She woke me up shuffling around at 5:30!!! Seven and a half hours straight sleep! I'm trying not to get excited about it, I'm sure she's just lulling me into a false sense of security and will wake me up hourly tonight... But there's this little part of me that thinks I'm getting rewarded for putting up with Aimee as a baby... I'm sure she didn't do 7 hours straight until she was about 3 and a half... Surely this time I deserve one that sleeps?!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Is it on BOGOF?
As for the excitement over it, if there's a school in the country that doesn't yet have it, it soon will, and if there's a town or city in the country that doesn't yet have it, ditto.
What can you do about it? precious little. Good hand hygiene, wiping light switches, door handles and toilet handles may slow it down, cleaning your phone and keyboard at work if you hot desk is advisable.
You'll either get it, or you won't. If you do get it, it may be so mild you don't realise you've had it.
If you feel ill, check the symptoms on NHS Direct, and stay home. But by the time you realise you've got it, you've probably passed it on to half the neighbourhood anyway.feelie, check out maternity action website a bit of a click around will give you and OH lots of useful info to argue your case!
I didn't know this, but apparently an employer can't refuse a request to reduce hours unless they've advertised the remaining hours nationally and been unable to recruit! Sounds hopeful eh?
Their factsheet actually gives increased costs as a reason an employer can give for NOT allowing reduced hours, if I read it right.Signature removed for peace of mind0
