I just managed 6fl oz and Roo already had a serious feed... MOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :rotfl: (and I'm only at 7 weeks! You see why I want to donate? just a !!!!!! I'd have to drive my milk 30 minutes to donate it!)
Bags are expensive though so if it's milk I'm going to use I tend to put it in bottles in the fridge - I try to only use the bags if I want to freeze it...
BTW... does it curdle when you unfreeze it? Should you defrost it in a special way or something? (just looking at my "stash"....)

LOL!! You could use it for hubby's cereal ;)

I stick a frozen bag in a tupperware container with some warm water for 5 mins or so and it is ready to go (and warmed!)

You can't use boiling water on the bag, that would curdle it I think.

Have you tried sleeping bags bruno?

I love them - no need to worry about baby getting cold in the night

We did use sleeping bags for months and loved them, but in the last month he's simply got out of them whenever upset or annoyed, and then they're harder to get him back into than blankets!

He's gone quiet now, but lets out a single wail any time he hears a noise... poor OH failing to blow her nose quietly enough...!

LOL - I used to BF Benjamin with a muslin draped over his head at night-time so he would get bored and finally close his eyes!!! I had forgotten all about this!
Yesterday I put him in his cot and when hubby went in Benjamin had his elephant comfort blanket (you know the ones with a blanket for a body) draped over his head like a hat :rotfl:
All I heard was 'What the Elephant Hat is THAT!!!' (like the rowntrees randoms advert that we love so much :o)

Mine likes a confort blanket or muslin over her head too  Whats all that about!

I want to start building a frozen supply but I need to eat my way through 7 tubs of ben and jerry's to make room :rotfl:

How dreadful for you! If you need any help, i suppose I could be forced eat a little - just to be kind! :D
My dentist did that!!! The minute I walked in when I was pregnant he said 'that's a boy' in a really matter of fact way!! I knew I was having a boy so I knew he was right but it was really spooky!!!

When I went back to the dentist on Tuesday he said 'so you had a little boy right?' :rotfl:

A scarey lady in my works canteen (who's always reminded me of a witch) saw me when my bump was first showing, put her hand on it and 'told' me it was a girl!

I warned DD1 that i'd been getting tips from Super Nanny, and there was to be no bedtime messing about tonight. She went up at 9 (weekend time), and i've not seen her since! I've not even had to try out the techniques yet. :T

Bruno I swear by fleece sleepsuits ;) much safer than a sleeping bag when they're mobile, they can't escape from them and you can but them in the carseat/pram then on to bed with out faffing and waking them up :D

Good idea! Where do you get them from - i don't think i've seen them for little'uns. DD1 has a disney one from Mothercare age 6 I think. (Did we have a discussion a while ago about adult sized babygrows?).

Back to slings/carriers - i've been looking about, and am watching a couple of babyhawk ones on ebay - they look lovely, and comfy, and Violet would prefer that position to laying in a sling. (I've found them for £52 or £53 from shops - anyone seen any better?).
Who mentioned the Joey ones earlier - was it Fritha? They look lovely too - but can't find them better than £60.
Anyway - i remembered i've got about £130 in my paypal - and as it's babyfund money, a baby carrier is allowed! :D

Yup - I have a new spare one if he takes to it and you need a spare...I was worried that Benjamin would become dependant and I would lose it...then he discovered the delights of an elephant with a body :rotfl:

  • Bruno, Poppy's sleeping bags zip from top to bottom and have a press stud to prevent any Houdini activities ;).

Or maybe you could put them on backwards so he can't get to the zip?.
