I'm liking the look of the mai tei style slings, I did think the sling meet was a bit far to go but I want to try out goodies (and possibly see what Fritha is like in RL :))

My main sling is a wilkinet. Not the current one, the one my Mum bought in the early 80's which she carried me round in! I've also got two pouch slings, and a soft carrier. Shame I don't go out and need to carry the baby! Although Toby was very good all round Costco in Warrington in the sling, even let me have some Pizza. Mmm.

OH is withdrawing his letter of resignation on Monday, and submitting application for part-time work instead. 75% sure they'll accept, but if not, he'll have to resign again!

MFD - I felt awful about how rubbish I was at pregnancy and labour. Do you remember me talking about it, and how bad I felt? I can't remember if you did comment at the time, but try and say to yourself what you did (or would have) said to me.

I feel a bit odd, I've got a baby asleep on the living room floor, so can type with both hands. He has fed almost constantly for the past three days (last night was 10pm, 11pm, 2am, 4am, 5am, 6am, 8am and 9am!) and now he is really sleepy. Growth spurt over I hope.

Do you mean Costco Haydock? you were so close to me, that's 'my' costco :)

ETA: has OH discussed reduced working with work? I just think it's what I'd do to test the water as it were

Yup, thats the one! I'm sad really, when I visit parents I often go with them to Costco, I do like it!

OHs direct boss suggested part-time when OH gave his resignation. He has the forms, he just has to plead a good case and hopefully the big boss with approve it. Fingers crossed!

    Evening all,

Dada has baby Leila and I told him she likes to dance - so guess what he's doing!!

Leila gets hiccups about 3 times a day. Sometimes I think she does it on purpose just so she can have extra mummy milk to stop them. Hubby refuses to go near her when she has hiccups because he says it upsets him. I told him that she's not bothered by them but every time she hiccups he says sorry to her with every hic. The constant apologising is worse than the hiccups!

I have a murron's pouch from freedom slings. I used it for the first few days after her birth when we went out but I felt that she looked squashed in it and there was too much fabric that kept going on her face. I'm not sure if it was the way I was doing it but I havent tried it again since.

Just wondering how you store your EBM. Can I put it in normal freezer bags. My freezer is not that big (stuffed with frozen pizzas) so I want to take up as little room as possible.
Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j

Could she see a different doc in the same practice? I've done that before when I haven't felt the usual doctor 'heard' what I was saying.

Fingers crossed for good sleep tonight!

Oh, a question for Tine and anyone else who had hyperemisis. When did you start feeling sick? I was on really strong anti-emetics till I found out I was pregnant, so can't pinpoint when I started feeling sick.

    Aww what a lovely Daddy!
You can't store in normal freezer bags because you don't know if they're sterile but Tesco, Boots etc have milk storgae bags you can use :)

Mookie I have just been reading on how to store breast milk, I dont think you can use normal freeer bags as they are not sterilised and have chemicals.
