I sorted this out before I went on maternity leave. One of my colleagues had just had a baby and wanted to reduce her hours. We both now work 18.5 hours per week.
However, my then manager went on mat leave just before me, and although she'd been promised 3 days per week, it didn't materialise due to ' the needs of the service' ie full time manager.
There are various ways of sorting something out - what do you do?The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -
Caz,
They should refer him. They are on one hand admitting that there is a problem by prescribing the meds, yet wont refer him!! Is there a GP within the practice who specialises in paeds or gastro? If he continues to loose weight then they will have to refer.
Hope they get things sorted soon x0 -

OH is requesting to work 3 days instead of 5. He is a programmer for a large company and I don't think it'd impact the business, but not sure how to word the request.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -

Benjamin had hiccups 3 or 4 times a day when I was carrying him and he still gets them loads now. I put him in bed about 7.30pm and he laid there with hiccups for about 20 minutes before I went up and fed him to get rid of them!! Feeding usually does the trick!feelinggood wrote: »How strong should a latch be? Do you think he'll get better? As it is, I have to sit pretty much completely still. Although I can do it without holding the boob now, used to have to sit totally rigid, holding him and boobie in place :rotfl:
They get better! They also learn to latch quicker and by themselves so they need no assistance. Benjamin is now learning to push my bra out of the way when we are in bed so he can get at the boobie - this morning he was sat on my head and leaning forward to latch on when I was laying on the bed!!!
But you do have to watch your positioning as they grow - poor positioning was one of the things that led to Benjamin biting my nippleplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

We went out for a walk earlier and on our way back there was an elderley couple walking down the street (really old - he pushes his own wheelchair) that we haven't seen for ages.
We stopped to say hello and the lady was congratulating us on our beautiful baby. Then she said in a sympathetic kind of way 'You had a forceps delivery' so I said 'yes' and she said 'I can tell, the signs are all there, I was a midwife for 25 years and you never forget these things'
I can't believe that she can tell just by looking at my beautiful little boy how he was deliveredI feel awful, I feel guilty enough about my inability to deliver naturally as it is without the worry that you can tell just by looking at him

I'm sure she didn't mean it like that - I think after 25 years you'd pick up the slightest sign - even ones we might not spot.
And stop the "guilty cos I couldn't deliver naturally" lark - I had forceps too and I met a baby the other day who was born in the same hospital as Roo about 90 minutes after her by CS - and I don't think either of us felt slightly guilty about not being able to deliver normally
You have a beautiful healthy baby - any signs however slight will soon vanishDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
