Mrs M, if she's feeding loads through the day then it will be flushing the jaundice through, you might have hit lucky and just have one that sleeps well at night... I hit lucky with Caitlyn compared to Aimee, she sleeps loads better!

It does feel a bit too good to be true only up once for an hour, she not very wakeful during the day either, she has like 5 minute wakeful periods maybe 3 or 4 times a day, im not sure if its because she was 4 weeks early, jaundiced, a combination of those or just totally normal. My MW looks about 16, and doesn't really seem very clued up.

i like to have erin up at 9pm, gives me an hour to get things organised(sit on MSE:D) she is sleeping 9-3 but the past few nights from 3am she cries unless i constantly feed her?

i went to dentist today which is a big step for me, i have to go to hosp for an xray and then he will talk everything through with me. i have such a fear and he is so happy and chats away, really put me at ease! he said that having 2 babies so close together has not helped my teeth so be warned ladies! as my wisdom teeth were coming through when i was preg with charlie he has zapped the calcium and basically they are just ruined?

Toby was very sleepy while jaundiced, but much more wakeful while pink. He is still good at night though. Don't know if all babies need to be naked, that was just one of the things I had to do to be allowed to keep him at home.

DS has fed for all but 20 mins since 7pm!

Sami - I know we could book it before LO arrives, but DH is a bit suspicious about it for some reason. I think he's still trying to convince himself we can afford it?!

Been to a special parents' evening at nursery tonight about the new letters and sounds curriculum. Really enjoyed it. Best news is that they're hoping to start wrap-around for the local school, so Imogen could go to school in the mornings and nursery for 2 afternoons. :T That would be the best of both worlds so I'm keeping everything crossed it comes off.

I've entered Charlotte in a competition. If anyone has a minute to spare, we'd appreciate a vote:

If anyone else enters the competition, let me know and I'll return the vote.

How beautiful is Charlotte?! Can't see where to vote though. Am I being all baby-brain?
Can i ask, at what age did you all start putting your little ones to bed at a set time? I mean Dylan is fed every 4 hours so gets a feed at 10.30 then me and him go to bed and OH then gets up to do the 2.30am feed, then me and Dylan get up at 6.30am for the morning feed, but was wondering what everyone else does? Do you have a routine, or are you all fairly flexable about it ??

MM - we started about 6 weeks with a bedtime routine. Bath, playtime, feed, bed. It was nice to have an hour to ourselves once she went down. We started around 7pm which meant the middle of the night feed was about 2-3am with a dream feed at 11ish. She'd then get up for a feed about 6-7am and then sleep til 8-9am. Gradually the 2-3am feed got later and then it merged with the 6-7am one (at about 16 weeks). In hindsight I would put baby down later to start with, say 9-10pm ish, then bring that earlier. My RL mummy friends seemed to have more luck with this system in terms of them sleeping through. Not sure why? Good luck if you decide to go for it.

Feelie - glad your day got better.
Elle - hope all went well at the hosp.
Mooki - welcome. She looks loads older than 3 weeks. What a cutie!
Emlou - Scruffy (our Scruffy) will be pleased about the name-sharing!!

Getting some funny cramps and stabbing pains, but they aren't coming to anything :wall:

Thanks Lu, that was exactly what I was looking for :) I was hoping someone else had started a routine that early, but didnt want to sound like a military style mummy !! None of my friends in RL put their kids in a routine, they just let them sleep when they want to and I just cant do that !! It doesnt seem right somehow

Cliondhna switches from feeding every 3-4 hours to feeding every hour for 5-10 mins for some periods during the day. As soon as she goes on the breast, she is fast asleep within 5 - 10 mins Thankfully she doesn't do this at night, probably because she takes a good feed around 1am and 5am.

The jaundice doesn't seem to be clearing up any, I think I will try her naked for a while tomorrow, it does make sense if she is supposed to be absorbing the sunlight.

Lu, get your husband on the case!

Caitlyn's getting longer wakefull periods but only in the last couple of weeks, before that she would wake for 5 mins, feed, then sleep... Now she wakes for 5 mins, Feeds... Screams a bit... Feeds some more... Screams a bit more... Feeds a bit more... Then goes to sleep...

Lu, get your husband on the case! I wish! Have hinted (heavily) but don't think he's in the mood to put out. Not that I care what his mood is right now...

Sounds mad, but I can't wait for this...

You can quote this post back at me in a couple of weeks when I'm tearing my hair out!
