Woo MSE is finally back on!
Alice had a random screaming fit the first time we had a tesco delivery after she was born. It was bedtime and I'd been feeding and taking her to the toilet. I thought I'd best just check if she wanted any more milk and when I did she started crying and wouldn't stop. OH had to receive the tesco order while I stayed with her trying to stop her crying then he took her out in the sling while I was putting everthing away. He was going round and round the terrace and every time he went past the back I could hear her crying. Eventually after about 2 hours he gave her a couple of ounces of EBM. At first she refused it but then she took it, stop crying and went to bed as if she hadn't just cried for two hours.My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »They get better at recognising people as they get older...we have been asking everyone in the family to take head-on photos of just them, I am going to print off a couple of each and laminate them in credit card sized pouches (snaffled from work) so we can play games like Snap and Pairs...and maybe even Happy Families

how did you get married for £1000??? do share, i might need the tips if OH ever gets off his arrse and actually does something about the fact he asked me to marry him 19 months ago and i still dont even have a right
We ran away to Gretna Green
We were looking at local venues and I'd phoned a local manor house and they wanted £5K just to hire the house for an hour for the ceremony, and then we'd have to pay for a reception elsewhere  Put the phone down and said flippantly to husband that we might as well run away to Gretna Green. He thought it was an excellent idea, so we looked into it more and did a weekend break up there to check it out. Fell in love with the place so we did get married there.
Got married in the original old blacksmiths Forge and then had a reception at the Garden House hotel and we stayed there too. Would highly recommend both. We just had 16 people there but we stayed two nights and made a weekend of it. Loved it and enjoyed it more than a traditional wedding. I can't remember the final cost, but I think it was around £3k all in.Here I go again on my own....0 -

Krystal - have you tried swaddling?
ETA:
Try infacol to calm too - a friend did this post-feed with her little girl. I couldn't, as soon as Benjamin tasted the infacol he was rooting for food!!
And I forgot to send you ((((HUGS))))
I might try swaddling next time she goes off on one... She is a right fidgeter but not really startled by her arms or anything, she usually ends up with one or two limbs hanging out of the crib at night, that doesn't seem to bother her either!
I'll bear the infacol in mind taI don't think she has a wind problem at the minute, she always burps (or farts!) well when she needs to and she doesn't really show signs of tummy ache or anything yet... I just tried the gripe water because it was always like a magic potion with Aimee... As soon as it went in she calmed down and relaxed... Doesn't seem to have the same effect for Caitlyn! I can't believe two babies could be any more different!

I used to pour a bit into the lid and pour it into her mouth... Meant I didn't have to sterilize anything and it had less chance of spilling everywhere...
My Aunt's coming round this morning so I thought I'd be a bit less slummy mummy and be dressed before she got here... And now I've just dripped melon juice all down my white top... Bums... Don't even know if I have anything else to wear!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... We have cards with our relatives on. Alice knows who they are but the ones she doesn't see very often she's still shy with when she first sees them. I guess it's because she knows their name but they're still a stranger to her.
Just wondering why you have to go downstairs? If it's that all the changing stuff is set up downstairs, why not just have the change bag in your room at night?
I'll definitely do some relative cards, we live quite far from family and I want DS to still be familiar with them. If I start young, hopefully he'll alright.
To be honest, I don't know why I go downstairs, force of habit I guess! I used to go downstairs because I needed the fridge, pump, telly and everything. I hadn't thought about changing him upstairs! Luckily he rarely poos at night, but I'll take a set of bits upstairs later!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
