Afternoon all. I can report the temperature here in my living room is 25.3 degrees. No idea how hot it is outside, but I did decide it was too hot to walk up the hill, and then I had to get an ice-cream so I had change for the bus .
The plan today was to get our lunch ready and do some stuff, leave here at 11:40, walk to the pool, swim, sit under a tree for a picnic, walk home, do some stuff.
Someone was being such a madam I didn't get our lunch ready till gone 12, and by the time we walked into town she was asleep. So I ate my lunch and sat under a tree for an hour waiting for her to wake up. At 1:45 I woke her up and gave her lunch. We finally got into the pool at about 2:45 and by the time we had swum, got dressed and got home it was gone 4pm. And the only housework I have achieved is to hang the washing out
I either need to wash up or go buy some paper plates, even if I do nothing else. If this poor sticky baby will lry me!
Elle - that's fab news
Maz - if you have a mo, can you cut and paste the post office survey thing into a pm for me too please?
Oh, and you lot are very organised knowing where all your muslins came from. I have no idea. Some were gifts and I know I bought some from either tesco or asda, but I don't know which are which now! And the only blue ones I have are tie-died when a blue t-shirt snuck in by mistake (as are half her vests - at least she is young enough not to mind too much)

Krystal I wouldn't feel too bad - I can imagine it's easily done and cutting Alexandra's nails is a task and a half too
She's spent most of the day in the jungle swing (I LOVE THAT THING!) only really coming out for feeds (every hour or so) and then moaning cos it's too hot, soon as she's back in the swing she settles straight away bless herIt's in a fairly (HA!) cool part of the house and she isn't getting sticky from me sweating buckets so guess it's more comfy than sitting on mummy
Kai loves his swing too....I can't believe I didn't have one of these with the other two, they are great. He wasn't too keen on it until he was 3-4wks old though, but now loves it:D
Krystal - I did exactly the same with Kai when he was only a couple of weeks old, asleep on daddy....etc. etc.

It's not been that warm here yet. It was cold and drizzly this morning, but dried up and got up to 22°C this afternoon. I love warm weather
I cut Charlotte's finger once when I was cutting her nails. She screamed and I felt really bad
She's started shouting "haaalllllooooooo" really loud at random people for some reason. It seems to make people smile thoughHere I go again on my own....0 -
Awww. Postal surveys are already subscribed in my area, so they don't want me :-(
Maz - that other link would be handy, thanks.
Have just had a lovely bath and managed to shave my legs!! Nothing short of a Cirque du Soleil performance to do it I can assure you, but now I'm neat 'down there' thanks to DH's Veet efforts and have shaved legs I'm ready for baby. Can someone tell him/her please?
Even the lady on the deli at the supermarket said, "ooh love, you can't have long to go!". Well, according to my consultant it could be another 5 weeks! Apparently no one has gone more than 21 days over - yeah right, like I won't be begging for a c-section by then anyway!
Bunny clock worked at my mum's this morning, so hopefully we've got it cracked. Imogen now knows to stay in her room until the bunny wakes up. She has toys and books in case she's awake earlier, but I'm happy with her just staying in there.MSE Parent Club Member #1Yummy slummy mummy club member50% slummy, 50% mummy, 100% proudImogen born Boxing Day 2006Alex born 13 July 20090 -
Aw Krystal I remember doing this with Ruby when she was just a few weeks old - she had a little cut on the top of her thumb and I was so mortified about what I had done I didnt tell OH or DD1 even when they noticed the cut:rotfl: I did admit it but only when I had got over the guilt ( about 6 months later!!).
Well Ruby its seems can now just about get out of her cot, the safety gate, high chair, pushchair and just about anything else which involves climbing and generally being unsafe:eek: I dont remember DD1 being such a climber and now I am struggling to find anyway to keep her in one place.19.6.10 Weight loss 6lb0 -

I think the postal survey is fairly easy as long as you have a post office and a post box fairly near by. I have both within 5 mins walk (and did at the old place too) so it's dead easy. Alice really loves going to the post box as there are so many things to stop and look at on the way. It's 2 mins away but it takes an average of half an hour with Alice.
I cut Alice's nails for the first time last week. I was too scared of doing it when she was little so it's been OH's job.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

I nipped Benjamins finger whilst attempting to cut his nails when he was a few weeks old - it didn't bleed but he squealed so I stuck his whole hand in my mouth and he looked so surprised he forgot he was hurting :rotfl:
I did then blub uncontrollably for about ten minutes
Charlotte is SO CUTE!!Awww. Postal surveys are already subscribed in my area, so they don't want me :-(

By the time I got to 12 days over I had given up worrying about the legs and the foof
I thinks it is a shame that Imogen is used to the bunny clock now...I was enjoying hearing about her anticsplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120
