MM (((((((hugs))))))) Your right to think like that, whats done is done, you can't go back if only life was like that, but we'd never learn from our mistakes if life was perfect......

Where do you go to get baby passport photos done? or do I hold her above my head in a photo booth! :rotfl:

Did the photo booth thing with James. You can't have any part of your body in the picture, so he had a baggy jumper on. I was squatting in the booth and holding him in the air with my hands up his jumper while my Mam was going "up a bit, right a bit" to get his head in the shot. Poor thing looked absolutely terrified in the pics!

I did my own with Charlotte. I just lay her on a white sheet on the floor and snapped loads of pics with my digital camera. One was good enough so I cropped it to size and printed it, and they were fine with that. We also pinned the sheet on the wall and did DIY pics for Josh and me, and they were accepted too. Takes a bit of work but it can be done!

I am looking for a mattress for my LO's cot bed but there seems to be soooooo many types. I personally have a lovely memory foam mattress and can't sleep on a sprung mattress but have no idea what is best for baby.

What do you think is the best mattress type? What would u recommend/avoid?

Have a look at http://www.kiddicare.com I got a lovely Rochingham one from there and it was very reasonable. It's a sprung matress but most importantly it has a removable cover that goes in the washer and dries quickly. It's going to get covered in dribble/sick/poo/wee so a washable cover is essential!

*hugs* money maker. We went though some scary times when I was expecting Charlotte, so I can understand how you feel. Hope you can get some rest and hope the news from the hospital is good.
Here I go again on my own....

r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this response :p
  • MM - have some dodgy hugs from us. :grouphug: My nephew has CP, and you couldn't meet a happier, funnier little boy. Not that I would wish it on anyone, but if you have to deal with it you will, and if not then you can thank your lucky stars ;) Try not to panic at the moment, just enjoy your time with your lovely little boy. (Easier said than done I know.) And if you do need to talk about how you're feeling let us know here - nothing worse than bottlling things up.

Off to bed for me... DH is not home from the pub yet though, and I dont' know if he has his keys. If I have to stay up to let him in I will NOT be impressed!

    Thanks Glam

    (slinks back to lurk-ville!!)

Glam, both of mine have the same cotbed and sprung mattress from kiddicare as I found them to be extremely reasonable. We paid more than average for them though as the theory is they will have lots of years use!

How are things on the preg thread? I miss you all! :o.

:grouphug: to moneymaker. Glad they're being honest with you - my mum was told my brother was fine when he was born.
