SB, I got a pack of three muslins - dark blue, pale blue and white with blue pattern - from Asda the other day. £3, I think

I was just about to say that my Asda ones have already been resigned to duster duty because they are so thin and hard.
Sorryplease listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

Excuse any typos - ALice woke up and would rather sit on my knee than play with lego. She's hoping for Charlie and Lola on the iPlayer.
We had that problem when OH's parents helped with the move - Alice wouldn't go to bed while they were around. When he first started working away my mum would come round but TBH she just annoyed me
and Chris LOVES her so usually doesn't want to go to bed while she's still here  provided neither son is 'bad' I'll be fine, its just a bit scary
Do you ever send parcels? I always weigh my parcels at home and use the stamps for that - I just keep a stcok of 1p,2p and 5p stamps to make sure I can make whatever amount it is.Millie's_Mum wrote: »Mazcabs, I do the postal survey as well, have you come up with any good ideas for the stamps? I've been doing the survey for 18 months or so and I've got hundreds of stamps particularly the large letter ones, apart from selling the odd book to my mother and sister they just pile up in the bureau.
County Durham is the best county.I have family in Durham
Mine are all from Consett, not a clue where specifically tho!
I've not BFed in proper public yet but I can't manage to get Ed on and off without my boob being on show to all for about a minute so looks like the locals will be seeing more of me soon :rotfl:
I used to have that problem. I still have to hold on to my top in public to stop her lifting it up while she's feeding.
You can always have him in just a nappy if he's too hot. Also a damp flannel can hefeelinggood wrote: »Its very hot. Anyone know what I should be doing with the baby? Its currently 26° in here, and due to get to 30° later in the day. He is in just a vest, but is a very hot bodied baby. I'm feeding on demand, and he is still happy, smiley and alert. Lots of wet and dirty nappies. He feels hot to the touch though, and a bit red. Do I need to do anything to keep him cool?
lp with cooling. ALice's current companion of choice in her cot is a wet flannel.
I got all of my muslins on e-Bay. Some were used but most were new including some which were Zorbit. Can't remember how much they cost but I think they were all less than £1/muslin although that was over 2 years ago. While I'm here does anyone know of good quality cheap muslins?
Mine are Zorbit ones I got free when I worked there but I need more, I've tried tesco ones but they are really thin and cheap feeling.
I know Mothercare ones are the same as zorbit ones and work out around £1 each which is cheaper than john lewis...Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

We used to get people thinking Alice was a boy when she was little and we used neutral babygrows.
Having said that, a few months ago we saw someone we hadn't really seen since Alice was born and he thought she was a boy. She was wearing a multi coloured hat which could be for a boy or a girl but the rest of her clothes were pink dress, pink coat, pink baby legs, pink socks and purple/pink shoes with pink flowers on them. I deliberately avoid buying pink stuff if possible and she still ends up with loads of pink clothes.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

They don't go anywhere near Rhys though.. They were for sunshades in the car when we went to Notts

Mrs T could you try going to a fabric shop and buying muslin of a colour you like (the funkier the better) and if you are good on a sewing machine just sew the edges, or get someone to do it for ya!!! Sorry I did do a quick search but couldn't find muslin sold by the metre but if your in JL might be worth a squint or any fabric shop you have.Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070

I don't like yellow or green either tho LOL
Ah well we'll cope
and yes I don't buy anything pink either yet I have LOADS of pink clothes for her... hmmm  Alexandra mainly gets bought neutral colours too and it does mean every person who sees her ask if it's a boy or girl... (actually they still ask that if she's dressed head to toe in pink...) DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
