Also a tip for everyone - there's people who have collected stamps that have escaped the royal mails scribbling and you can buy them for cheap :money:
Anyone else as sad as me and gets excited when you get an untouched stamp you can re-use? :rotfl:

Sorry to say Sami but the new stamps have a type of paper clip cut in them which means that if you try and reuse them they rip......hope you get accepted for survey

Sami....I am still BF and didnt bleed much after the birth, I also had my first AF 4 weeks after Rose was born!!

I also thought i wouldnt have one for ages either!!

Beccles, I went to Venture a few years ago and was considering getting some more family photos done now Rose is born. I just googled photographers in my local area and looked through their gallery of photos. Most are as good if not better.

After Aimee I bled for 2 weeks then my periods came back at 8 weeks and were as regular as clockwork which was bizarre cos they never had been before! This time I'm still kind of bleeding 5 weeks on, I'm hoping the periods stay away longer!

    Morning Ladies and Gents!
(excuse v bad typing / grammar - feeding Lexi and typing one handed)

Could do with a little bit of reassurance or experiences with regards to bleeding.....

I stopped bleeding 7 weeks after having Lexi, then I 'think' I got my period about three days later which lasted for around nine days. I say think as Im guessing I could have just had a little break from post birth bleeding but it was very red and felt like a period! IYSWIM?

So we'll call it a period and it stopped thursday 11th June so just over 2 weeks ago, then I started taking the pill on Friday and I start to bleed, so Im just thinking it is breakthrough bleeding but its very very heavy and I thought breakthrough bleeding was just spotting and not regular, I have been bleeding bright red to pink back to bright red blood and soaking through a pad in 2 hours since friday afternoon! Tmi but I woke up this morning and I have never seen anything like it, I dont know weather to wash the sheets of throw them away basically.
I honestly didnt think breakthrough bleeding was like that, Im a little concerned that I have been working out hard and think I might have done too much?

Anyone have any experiences? Sorry its a bit gross but not alot of my friends are mums, and not close enough to chat about this kind of stuff....she says typing it all out to a load of strangers! :rotfl: But in fairness your not real!

Sparkle, no advice I'm afraid, but hope you can get some reassurance. Perhaps give NHS Direct a call? They are often good for things like this.

Its very hot. Anyone know what I should be doing with the baby? Its currently 26° in here, and due to get to 30° later in the day. He is in just a vest, but is a very hot bodied baby. I'm feeding on demand, and he is still happy, smiley and alert. Lots of wet and dirty nappies. He feels hot to the touch though, and a bit red. Do I need to do anything to keep him cool?

Thanks Feelie, to be honest I just have Lexi in a vest, she seems to be doing fine, I have a fan on just shifting the air around a little I think as long as Toby is happy and smiley your all good! Yesterday afternoon when it was much warmer I did wipe her over once or twice with a wet wipe or damp but not freezing flannel. Just to freshen her up.

Roo hates hot weather - she turns into a super grumpy baby! Just debating whether to go to Baby cafe or not... can't really be bothered but probably ought to... *sigh*...
Bah will go for a cuppa with next door instead I think ;) She's a paedeatric nurse anyway so more likely to be useful if I have any questions ;) she's not a BF expert but frankly I don't find the helpers at the BF cafe that helpful anyway so probably not a great loss... :D
Sparkle - if in doubt call the GP or nurse :) Or if you have an unhelpful surgery then call NHS direct - I promise they won't mind and would rather you called and asked than maybe didn't get the help you needed even if it's only reassurance that all is well.

Bleeding - mine's apparently stopped - seems to have stopped a few days ago so pretty much spot on 5 weeks... need to call GP to arrange my 6 week check up towards the end of the week. Then I need to start my "list" of things to ask him I guess LOL

Roo is in her little swing again - seems to always calm her down once I have eliminated hunger or dirty nappies LOL

Thanks MrsTine, I dont know why but I always feel silly ringing NHS Direct, especially if they go on to tell me 'yep your normal' I kind of feel as if I have wasted their time....
Will see how Im feeling this afternoon and if it has calmed down any.

Certainly seems as if you have gotten your moneys worth out of that swing! :T I had one for Joshua, but he didnt really take to it very well and we had paid just over £100 for it, so we didnt bother with Lexi and seems she probably would have liked it....Kids!

    hello everyone

lots to catch up on and report back with:

our night out on saturday was amazing - a fab restaurant and Hubbie and I really pushed the boat out as Mum and dad were babysitting. I can't wait to do it again :D

LO rolled over on friday night all by herself! It was very exciting. She's done it again twice, but both times her daddy has been looking the wrong way - oops!

no hot weather here. just muggyness and mist! hmmmm.

New mum and baby group went well on Friday so going to go back this week. Off to a new singing group this lunchtime so better get a move on.

    bye for now x
