He is beautiful!!Elle - sounds like Rhys could be home really soon! :T
Is there a reason you can't just have him in a cot straight away if you don't like moses baskets and cribs?
SB - Jamie looks really like Poppy on your latest pics
Edgar is screaming a lot tonightlooks like wind from both ends but we're having no luck settling him and I don't have any gripe water or anything like :undecided
Sami - get yourself to sainsbury's and buy gripe water - it's about 88p in the third off sale. When nothing else works gripe water does the trick...please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Only that I thought he'd be lost in it.. it's a cotbed too so even bigger.
Still liking the "magazine rack" myself.. think OH is coming round to it!
ETA: Just realised that was the wrong link! Fixed now0 -
Also on the subject of somewhere to sleep, has anyone got any recommendations (or warnings!) for cot/crib bedding, sheets and blankets etc?
I'm going to have to dig out all the baby shop catalogues now and find their supposed "must have" lists to check I've remembered to buy everything! :eek:0 -
Morning all, Well put Henry in his cot bed (no sides) for the first time last night. It was a bit of a c**k up as he fell asleep in his highchair at about 6 last night so I gave him half an hour which meant that he didnt want to go to sleep till about half nine. Against my better judgement I put him to bed asleep but he slept right through till 6.15 ( which is why I'm posting so early.) OH says that when he got up about 4 he looked in and Henry was asleep on the floor!! he obviously likes his new room that OH decorated for him with ITNG while he has been out if work. This all bodes well for our holiday to Wales in August as we didnt want to take a travel cot.
elle_gee - Glad to hear Rhys may be home soon. I must admit we just bought the Duvet cover from Mothercare but that was only as I had vouchers from when I do my postal surveys,£6 a time. (I also get 16 free stamps a month for this if anyone is interested in doing it) We also bought a paddling pool for £6 and had great fun playing in it yesterday as it was nearly 30 degrees !!!Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
Yippee, just made my yorkshire puddings for dinner and got some more potatoes out of the garden as well...and ironed Henry's clothes....suppose there are some advantages to getting up early when its nice and cool still!!Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0

Morning..
More questions..
Thankyou cards - has anyone got any recommendations for where I can get thankyou cards for all the gifts we've been sent? Rhys is six weeks old today () so I really need to get on with this!
Have been trying to come up with a thankyou idea for the medical team too but how the hell do you say thankyou to them for saving your baby's life?! Don't think that's the kind of thankyou Cadbury's had in mind for Roses..
We're not having a christening/naming ceremony, so we thought we would just have a bit of a party day - either with the BBQ going or mabe just a tea and cake type affair - at our house a few weeks after Rhys comes home for everyone to drop in and meet Rhys.. Did anyone do anything similar?0 -
elle, we are doing the same re the party. Hopefully we will still have a bit of good weather for about a week after Dylan is home as no one has met him yet since only parents are allowed into the NICU.
As for thank you cards, there are some lovely personalised ones on ebay that you can order
These are the ones like

And if you think of something to give the nurses, please let me know, cuz I wasnt too keen on the box of chocs idea either, and I only have 2 days to think of something !!!The two best things I have done with my life
