getting the coil out is no where near as sore as getting it in! i couldnt drive after getting it in had to pull car over and was throwing up i was in so much pain! MIL had to keep the little ones as i was so bad, i was back and forward with pain and OH said he could feel it during sex, doctor said no way! i fell pregnant within a few weeks and had to have the coil removed!

i am so hungry today feel like nothing will ever fill me up? i missed breakfast and then had a quick lunch as i was getting my hair done? think i might go have some more cereal? or do i have a pannini on my new machine:D

OH just went to get Alice up for the toilet. She was fast asleep still inside her sleeping bag with her pillow on top of her and the nappy on the floor.

Thanks for all your suggestions. The heat probably has a big part to play in it. I'll strip him off next time and see what happens. Unfortunately we're in a room without an opening window - it's like a room surrounded by other rooms and corridors but almost all the walls are glass so the nurses can see from one room to the next iyswim.

He's now on 3hrly feeds (of 38ml) so I've been going in for half an hour before a feed is due so we have time to attempt it and then still tube feed him on time if we don't get anywhere. Today's nurse has paged the leading breastfeeding midwife for another mum so she's going to ask her to come see me too in case there's anything she can suggest. I think he just gets too cosy and falls asleep! Maybe I'm cuddling him for comfort more than holding him for feeding..

In good news, he has put on weight and we've cracked the 4lb barrier - now 4lb 1oz (1.84kg) in fact :D I thought his swelling was coming back (meaning his kidneys aren't working again) but actually that's just him getting chubbier! :o

Have got the changing bag half packed. Going to take it with me this afternoon (next feed is at 2pm) and add to it then check through with the nurse. Need to include extra feeding tubes as he's gone through six in four days - well and truly mastered the knack of pulling them out!

    Hi elle,
Glad Rhys is making progress :D. scooted over here to see as i knew you were on here more than the pregnancy thread

We got bad news from up north last night. Friends baby who was born at 28 weeks on Friday, passed away yesterday. Baby's dad/OH's best friend called last night - sounded very matter of fact, but obviously shocked. How on earth can people recover from something so tragic

    !

so sorry to hear that 3.

    Hi all..

3, so sorry to hear about your friend's baby. I don't know what to say.. :(

No joy yet today on the feeding - another sleepy day! :( Am determined to wake him up tonight whether he likes it or not! ;) Will be better after tomorrow cos he'll be in isolation for 48 hours after coming back from Nottingham so we'll be in a room on our own without being overlooked - frosted windows ;) Might go in for all day on Friday and do hours of skin to skin too.

feelie, thanks again for the expressyourselfmums recommendation - the wipes arrived today, 28hrs after ordering :)

Had hearing tests today and all was fine with the first one. Will find out results of the second tonight.

Going to take the car seat and camera tonight so will be back with cute pics later :D

looking forward to seeing those pics. glad the hearing test was fine today.

hope everyhting is ok in nottingham as well for you all.

3 that is sad news :(

My Mum had the coil when she was younger and her body rejected it and she had contractions and all to get it out. That has always put me off the idea! For those of you where the coil got lost - how does that happen if it hasn't fallen out? I don't understand!

I want to get back on the pill as soon as I can. I discovered all the horrible moods I had put down to being a teenager were actually pmt, and I could do with out it ;) I'm much better at dealing with it now I'm not 17, (self harming and eating disorders can stay in my past thankyouverymuch) but still.

speaking of dodgy doctors type things, seths infant gaviscon is labelled "dose as directed by doctor" - he didnt know what the dose was when he prescribed it, assumed it would be a once a day thing and gave me a box of 30 which he said should last a month :rotfl:
for anyone thats never used it, you put a sachet in each bottle! i'd love to see a baby that has 30 feeds a month...

elle, cant wait to see the new pics of your little man on his first outing!

ETA - i think i want to try the implant, i was on the pill when i fell PG with seth so i dont really trust it anymore!

I've to have an xray after I pop the lil lady to check that it hasn't perforated my uterus and is floating about somewhere amongst my intestines. I have a friend who has hers removed a few weeks ago from just below her diaphram. I can't think of anytime that it could have fallen out, I always thought I'd notice....

emlou I had the implant and had no probs after the initail settling in period although I had to take the pop for a few months as well as having the implant until my periods settled down.

Awww that's really sad news. They'll need a lot of support to cope with that. Hope they get through it ok.

I'm hoping to get DS2 toilet trained by August. We got there for a few weeks then he got viral diarrhoea and it went to hell. Just trying to work out if he will be able to have 'sensations' or if it will be hourly 'just in case' trips that don't really seem to work. Or should I just leave it??

I'm just starting with Charlotte. I boughht her some pretty knickers which she loves, and I'm putting the idea in her head that if she wees in the toilet she can have pretty knickers on.

I keep encouraging her to sit on the toilet but she hasn't managed to do a wee yet. She's often dry after her afternoon nap, so she normally has a sit on the toilet then and incy wincy spider tries to tickle a wee wee out :o

I'm scared of coils. I just don't like the thought of having something inside me. Same goes for implants. I was dithering over the injection but I had that many bad reactions to different pills until I settled on the ones I use now, that I'm scared of a reaction to the injection. No more periods sounds good though :D
Here I go again on my own....
