Krystal in that case I'll have your TG tickets :rotfl:
Seriously though - you'll be fine! I'm trying to have some "mummy time" every day or every 2 days - even if it's only taking the dog for a walk on my own for 10-20-30 mins :) I know it's different because it's DH looking after her but it gets both her and me used to not being together 24/7 (only 23:45/7 :rotfl:) and DH and I were just talking about the possibility of leaving her with friends to go and see Harry Potter when it comes out on the 17th... We do have a VERY qualified babysitter though ;) (paedeatric nurse who runs the paedeatric ward at a very large hospital!) so I know medically nothing can possibly go wrong :) And let's face it... she knows her way round kids and nappies lol!
Besides you'll get to meet Jeremy, Capt Slow and Hammy (yummy) - you HAVE to go
But it's not going to be just for a couple of hours, it'll be at least 12, maybe more if we leave earlier... I can't bear the thought of her being 'inconsolable' (my mum's words) for all that time when I know that having me and my boobies near by is all she needs to be happy... I'm not that fussed on 'me' time... I was a lone parent for four years and until she started school Aimee and I were together 24/7 she was 9 months old before I let my mum babysit and nearly 2 before she stayed at nannies overnight alone so it's not like I'm not used to being tied to a baby... And these early days are over in the blink of an eye anyway, might aswell make the most of them before the backchat starts ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Elle, tickling is the way to go... As for feeding in a goldfish bowl, do they not have screens they can put round you for privacy?

It is a long time hun, but it is also not an opportunity you get every day.

Benjamin was awful the first time I left him with my mum for 3 hours...the next time was overnight and he was 'an angel'!!

Inconsolable once does not mean she will be the same next time.

Not sure that that's helpful LOL!

I know what you mean, trouble is Caitlyn's a pretty shouty baby and the only thing that can calm her down at the min is me... I know that will change soon enough, she's only four weeks old so a whole day without mummy will feel like a lifetime to her... And me LOL...

I just put her in the crib on her back and she rolled right onto her side to look at me! Must of been a fluke, it's far to early for that!

I'm really adoring this stage with Poppy! She understands almost everything you tell her and her language is fab now too. Honestly, it will blow you away when Benjamin grows! :D

    PS: don't cry! :)

    xx
it is sooo the best stage! Chris is a bit too independent for my liking now but Ed is definitely too dependent for it to be fun, I can't wait for Ed to be about 6mths and be more of a person :)

he's asleep!!!!!!!! I'm running to bed now, fingers crossed he sleeps as normal tonight!!

Thankyou. Yup, they do have privacy screens - handy as because of the room Rhys is in, the first thing most people will see as they walk into the unit is my boobs! :o The screens don't go all the way round though. I've made friends with one of the other mums so I always leave the window she is the other side of uncovered as we wave to each other - we chat whilst expressing so waving whilst feeding is nothing to us two! We joke that we just come in to visit and spend all afternoon with our boobs out! ;)
