Choc - I'm amazed that you said next time! That's real proof that you once you have your baby the birth seams so much less painful, scary etc :)

Lol, actually I was (half) joking about the next time. I probably would have had another one if possible, but firstly we couldn't afford another and secondly OH says absolutely no way and the doctor agreed with him that it probably wasn't wise to think about another after we were both so poorly last time. They told us afterwards that if I hadn't had my daily monitoring appointment moved forward by an hour on that day Tom wouldn't have made it  and I was given a 50/50 chance myself afterwards  so we're just counting our blessings and grateful that everything turned out ok. I would like to foster one day though, but we need a bigger house for that.

You don't actually have to go completely nappy free. We have used nappies/pants as back up most of the time. (Not saying you should do it though - it's not for everyone.)

** Yawn! ** (Bit of a rant coming up, sorry in advance)
Imogen got up at 5.30am today. We didn't realise what the time was until she was cuddled up in bed with us or we'd have taken her straight back to her own bed. She did settled down for a bit more sleep until about 7.40am, but insisted on being cuddled by me, so I barely got a wink.

Combine that with the phone ringing (just once, grrr) at 2.15am and it taking me at least an hour to get back to sleep and I'm cream crackered! It was meant to be my lie-in, but by the time OH got up, got shaved, brushed his teeth and had a shower is was 8.30am when he took Imogen downstairs for breakfast. I knew he'd be back up again in 30 mins as she would need to get dressed for ballet so was desperately hoping I'd drift off. Then there's a massive bang from downstairs, Imogen screaming and DH yelling, "Take them off!"

Turns out he'd spilt hot coffee while trying to stop her spilling the milk out of her cereal bowl and it had run along the table and on to her. So I get downstairs to find them in the kitchen, Imogen wearing only her knickers and OH dabbing at her leg with a wet tea-towel. No harm done, thankfully. Other than my lie-in wrecked! He's taken her to ballet and they'll be back shortly. I'll just have to hope for a proper nap after lunch - although I kinda need that in addition to a morning one these days!
    ** Yawn **

Happy birthday Oz and Caz. A new car? Lucky you!

Guess who latched on last night! He was on for at least 10 minutes, and he definitely drank!

He didn't want to feed in the night, or this morning, but I know he can do it now!

Fingers crossed that we'll be breastfeeding properly soon!

Also on the subject of my clever baby, he has two five hour sleeps each night - I didn't know breastfed babies could go that long!
