lwcus abi had bad reflux but it was more the vomiting than the acid like your LO they put her on all sorts of milk etc and she did grow out of it. i had a really bad time whren she was small as i didnt want to go anywhere, mainly the fear of everyone looking or her being sick on clothes in shops! i hope something is sorted soon and honestly he will grow out of it!

Searching - I feed anywhere! Usually look for a quiet corner and sit with my back to the room but as long a baby is quick enough to latch on nobody sees anything.

Breastfeeding vests from mothercare were a godsend in the beginning:

You unclip the top and underneath is a 2 layer cup so you only need to poke your nipple through. I wouldn't have survived without them.

In all seriousness, the people I know IRL who didn't feed outside the house are the ones who couldn't cope with breastfeeding for very long because it was too tiring and confining - I know one girl who didn't leave the house for 6 weeks whilst she was breastfeeding...no wonder she gave up!!!

Find yourself a Booby Club and go there for your first 'public' feeding - at least you will know you are amongst friends...and they check your positioning whilst you are there (mine still do at 12 weeks, although they think they are being discrete!!)

Edit: In my experience the grey marl and black vests are better material than the green one which I bought last week!

A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

ehhh am I missing something here? Unless you connect with a mobile dongle then to have an internet connection you have to have a landline... Whether or not you have a phone attached to it is obviously a different matter...

  • Krystal - I would leave a 2 oz bottle per hour.

It will probably be masses but if she is used to demand feeding then better to have lots of little bottles than fewer smaller bottles IMHO.

Benjamin wouldn't take a bottle if he got upset so I tell my mum and MIL to feed him before he knows he is hungry IYSWIM - little and often is the key, but he is a snacky baby.

Sm - as u see from her sig MFD is a wise woman ;) I've got a mothercare vest on right now :D I find it easier at the mo to get boobie out as I'm a newbie but was just toying with attempting it in the proper peek-a-boob way now I feel better.
I'm still a bit clueless as to how to feed in public but I plan to practice in front of the mirror and at booby group 1st :rotfl:

MIL has penciled us in for going round for tea at the weekend so I'm hoping to be half decent by then :undecided
I'm not bothered about MIL but FIL tends to make friendly jokes wich are well meaning but annoy me and BIL wouldn't know what to do if he saw my boob bless him, he almost ran out the door today when MW mentioned checking how I was feeding Edgar today
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.
