Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
but im alittle worried hes not BFing well he doesnt seem full and i dont seem to be producing at lot x

I had something similar with Celia she just latched on constantly basically! They've got a tummy the size of a walnut so feeding a lot is normal!

As long as he's having plenty of wet and dirty nappies he should be getting enough. Your milk (as opposed to the colostrum you have now) will come in soon and it isn't digested quite as fast as colostrum (which seemed to just evaporate as soon as it hit her tummy!) so it will get easier. I hope that helps and was generally what you meant!

    I nearly forgot, congratulations :-)

  • Congrat's searching on birth of your little boy.

Ladybird - yeah makes sense bout tax credits thanks & yeah claiming child benefit. Was just wondering if there were any other "hidden" things mums were entitled to as you don't get told anything lol

Just keep him on for as long as you can - swap boobs every now and again...they told me one boob at a time (one per feed) but that is more appropriate when you actually have milk! And still he often takes both!

As Fritha says - as long as you are getting wet nappies then keep going.

Congratulations Searching, those first few days before your milk come in are awkward but persevere and once your milk comes in you'll have more than enough.

Welcome Connorsmummy, I'm a stay at home mum too at the moment, we are not entitled to anything and we manage by careful budgeting!

Elle brilliant news about Rhys's breathing and your milk, might have to try fenugreek myself. Not sure I understood your question about mother and baby groups, all the ones around here you just turn up, it doesn't matter what age the baby is (although if you pitched up with a 16yr old you'd get some funny looks)

  • LOL Ladybird - I do the pretending to be asleep thing too! When Benjamin and I go for an afternoon nap I put my head at his level when I go to sleep (and he has stopped feeding) I find he stays asleep longer that way!

Where is Mel? I haven't seen her for ages...not posting or lurking...hope she is okay!
