My friend says that when you get clothing gifts for the baby, you can tell which of them were bought by already-Mums.
that is SO true! i'm ebaying a load of stuff at the moment, some of it never worn  and i'm ashamed to say its all things that others had bought us. i'd have taken everything back and swapped it but i washed everything so no more tags unfortunately!

While i'm here, where would anyone recommend for sleepsuits?
Violet has just about grown out of 0-3 months (at 4 months old!), and i've sorted through the 3-6 month old clothes that we have and there's no sleepsuits.
Would you lot buy the cheap packs from Asda/Tesco or is it worth getting a few of the more expensive ones from Mothercare/Next?
if you dont dress her in them when you go out whats the point in spending loads on mothercare ;) i've got some mothercare ones that were bought for us and although they are lovely and soft, if i was buying myself then i wouldnt spend more than tesco/primark prices. just dont bother with sainsburys, we had some from there and they all ripped around the poppers!!
ETA - god I hope I am not pregnant again!! No period yet and I have just made myself a fishfinger and mushy-pea sandwich :o We've been mostly careful :o

Hi guys, Thanks for the congrats xx
Before I can read them properly I'm just wondering what yur thoughts are on engorged boobs?
The MW I saw today only spoke of it it terms of getting Edgar to latch on (he is having trouble when they're full)
I'm avoiding using my pump at the moment for fear that pumping would just encourage them to fill up again, is that what anyone has experienced?
or would it be fine to just release the pressure at bit?
i always found that when my boobs were HUGE it was harder to get seth to latch on, so a little pumping gave relief and made it easier for him. so glad you're getting on ok with it this time!

forgot to say - just before we left for jabs seth decided to have the mother of all screaming fits, i've never heard him make such a sound, it sounded like he was in real pain with something and nothing would console him, cue me in floods of tears and feeling very fragile by the time we got there :o but he was all smiles for the nurse until the evil needles went in bless him. blood everywhere again
he is currently fast asleep, so far they seem to have had the same effect as last time as he has been asleep ever since pretty much. Good Times!

<--- Signed in especially to answer the breastfeeding questions but all you efficient and well informed peeps beat me to it :D Do remember you can pm or facebook me searching and Sami :)

My aunt came round today and bought my very funky marble effect nappy bucket so Caitlyn is wearing her little lambs now... I'm researching home made wipes now too... although might have to buy some more flannels... Don't think I have many left from when Aimee was a baby...

Poor Aimee woke with a sore throat this morning, I gave her some calpol but decided to keep her off school, glad I did, once the calpol wore off she crashed in a big way, and even ended up having a sleep... She never sleeps unless she's feeling poorly... Sent her to bed dosed up and hoping she's over whatever it is by the morning...

What pain is it hun? If it's your nips you need to check how you're holding him, make sure you bring him to your nipple and not the other way round... and make sure he opens his mouth really wide before you pop him on (stroke his chin to get him to open it wider ;))
