I have just been made aware of this ongoing issue by a friend of mine who is caught up in it - I am aware that a new company called Bradbury Accounting Services Ltd was incorporated om 13th August 2009 - I am awaiting the report from Companies House about the directors but I would put money on the fact that this is a new company about to take on the trade of Bradbury & Co Ltd. Not an uncommon thing to happen in a situation where Bradbury & Co Ltd was about to be struck off - reason the directors would have been allowing that is because they have a new trading vehicle taking on the "business" of the old company. Anyone trying to sue the old company hasa potential problem as there is nothing but an empty shell left. I do a ot of insolvency/restructuring cases as part of my work as a tax advisor and this is nothing new. Worth noting that this new company is based at the same address as Certax Accounting (South Bucks) Ltd, part of a franchise arrangement if memory serves me correctly. I am alos awaiting the report on that one from Companies House.
I will post again when I can establish a bit more detail. Anyone needing any help on this can contact me if they want to - my feeling is that an insolvency lawyer may need to build a case of wrongful trading but such a guy will cost so it may need a group to get together and have a go at this lot.0 -
I too have now emailed DC Quinn. Thanks again.
I am also affected by the Bradbury Scam and they have retained £7000, which was earmarked for tax and my SATR 2008/2009.
I have not been able to contact anyone at Sunday or Bradbury.
I will also contact the Police. however if anyone gets any updates on how to find these thieves I would be grateful.

Hi guys,
I'm another guy who is cheated by Sunday/Bradbury. They have yet to file my tax return for the last yr amounting to around 17K.
As advised by few of the members here, I too have logged a complaint with BBC's "Watchdog" programme..hope they can take up our story so that we might have some hope of getting out of this mess.
I think it is very important that we all stick together and try to resolve this problem to its very end.
Regards,

Hi Guys, here is another victim. I had been with them just for 3 months in 2009. They are withholding NI and tax money which they deducted and they have not yet filed anything at tax office! If there any one out there with the same problem or any solution of tackling this please let me know. Let us fight together. My email id is sumanthkumar_s@hotmail.com0

See previous threads regarding DC Quinn. I am in contact with him. Anyone with problems noted on this page should send him the following details to register your interest.:- full name, date and place of birth, contact details, ethnic background, profession, and if you have been a victim of other crime in the past 12 months.
Also a brief account of your complaint:- When did you start using Bradbury & Co, how did you start using them, how much money you believe you are owed and why. Could you also name the "partnership" you are a member of. Hope this helps everyone as with the various companies apparently closing and re-opening time is of the essence.0 -
I have just emailed Alastair Quinn, and so has my work colleague. The thing is, up until now, Bradbury has paid the outstanding tax owing for both of us, so no crime has been commited. The big question is though, whether they will pay the money owing in Jan 2010, only time will tell.
There is a lot of people on this forum who have said they still have funds outstanding. I urge any of these people to email Alastair, as the more information he has about a crime being commited, the more they can do.
Thanks,Theresa0 -
Does anybody know of anyone who has received their money for the 08/09 tax year?
Legally, until when do they have to pay out the money?0 -
Hi Guys, I got the contact number of the company who used to manage my accounts statement and they gave me 2 email id's to contact and mentioned that they are very late in replying and have problem in communication ( why the hell are they in the business if they are not competative enough ) and emails is the best means to contact them as their phone are all automated and no one would receive personally.
I have emailed these 2 email ids now

chris.collins@bradburyandco.com

Good luck. I've been emailing them weekly for two and half months and got nothing back. If you do, I must have done something to upset them !!!0 -
I am also being stitched up by Sunday Solutions/Bradbury&Co.
Have written to Companies House (Dissolution Team), Companies Investigation Branch, HMRC's Tax Evasion Team, FSA and the Financial Ombudsmen regarding the conduct of these companies. Have also e-mailed DC Quinn (no response to date) and The BBC's Watchdog site.
I transfered to Von Essen in April, and yesterday I requested that my tax retention money held by Von Essen be returned to me with immediate effect, as I don't want to be hit by this scam twice. To their credit they transfered the money into my account within hours.
They also said that Bradbury&Co were dealing with the partnership accounts but very slowly, as the chap I was talking to had seen evidence of this last week!!
Sadly I am not convinced!0
