Alf /sue - i can imagine that the menfolks must be getting a bit sick of the inconvenience of this period trouble!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0

Good morning all- it might be afternoon by the time this posts as it's 2 minutes to midday.
How are we all? Well this is day 7 of the diet for me. I have been good for 7 days- I want more clappy hand smilies!
Feeling smiley and happy and energised.
Re the socialising aspect of this diet. It is tricky! I cancelled a night out on Saturday (my first day on the diet) because it would've been myself and my cousin and they wouldn't understand the not drinking thing...thought best to stay in. On the 2nd day went to a chinese restaurant with LL and just had water- he ate enough for both if us! I went for drinks with friends and one Miss Shoes hater (petty and jealous about my promotion) last night and just had sparkling water.
So far the socialising has been fine. Out with LL tonight. Either cinema or pub- either way just sparkling water. My life would be so much easier if I could have tonic water...I love tonic water. First weigh-in tomorrow. Don't think I'm going to hit double figures which I am ANNOYED about.
Love Shoes xxx
Well done miss shoes, you're doing great!!!
What's in a tonic that is disallowed??
as it's your first week it's probably best to stick with the plan as best you can but after a couple of weeks, maybe take a tonic water and see if it has any effect on you? Anything that makes the journey more bearable is worth it, if you have a long term journey to do....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

No you aren't having an angry one too. You are too nice, and have been very honest. We are all here to help each other and not shout.
You just feel very very guilty.....and don't let it happen again:rotfl:0 -
You are doing Great Shoes.
Double figures isn't that common on a first week, so don't get too worried, but you should get a good loss. Good Luck for your WI tom.0 -

I've been thinking about this "having" to eat bit. The challenge is keeping me going and someone mentioned doing it again next week. I am more than happy to do it again, it really really helps me.
But I know that sometimes its just unavoidable, I have a lunch meeting on Tuesday and will have to have something.
I don't want to demotivate anyone from joining in if they know they have a do! and give them yucky unsmiley faces.
Was thinking if someone Has to eat if you plan in advance what you have and declare it and stick to it. You havent gone off plan and can still have a happy clappy smiley.
What does everyone think????
Oh and sorry Spud, meat, although try and avoid burgers and sausages unless they are good quality ones, they tend to be filled out with rusk, fish, bbq Salmon is one of my favourites, green salad sounds fine, just avoid the bread, dips and the like. If you want a bit of dressing olive oil and vinegar with some salt and pepper is nice, no carbs so shouldn't mess with your ketosis.
I was actually over 100% yesterday because I made hot choc with my 3rd shake and it was yak.
I never actually planned to go 100% SS on this challenge. If that's what it needs, then I'll drop out please. I was just planning on doing 2 shakes and a healthy mealIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

The "allowing" eating thing I was talking about is only if you are an SSer.

You keep up all the good work you have done so far.
