I do want to break out of the reward for losses being food related too... but it seems to mean a lot to the family that we have something nice on a sunday night.......

Oh Alf, I don't want to do horrid unsmiley faces, if it wasn't for the cake, bad bad cake.........
How about a pink sheepish looking face, the idea is to keep everyone wanting to go on not demotivate us.
I have an implant that was fab for the first year or so, no totm at all. But it needs changing, and funnily enough i've now been totm for 12 days, which, although I always have unusual ones is even unusual to me.
A strange side effect of the diet it seems if we all have some problems.0 -

sounds unavoidable about the eating thing... and if you haven't told them, probably did all you could....
oooh what i would give for a chicken fajita right now! mind you, the old me would probably have ate at least 5 fajitas!!! how mad is that!!?!?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
re the period on the CD... i'm not on any contraception at all (no babies planned BTW! just using condoms... for it's not that often anyway!!!) I ditched my implant in october last year, thinking what with the running i was doing at the time that it could have been stopping me from losing any weight... who was i kidding!
Haven't been to see my GP since, can't wait actually as i know he'll be chuffed i've lost weight...
I've had pretty good regular periods while on CD, and it has knocked them into a regular line which they weren't in before. i was infrequent and light, now am regular and pretty regular bleeding too... even though it did shock me this morning, i think it's still pretty standard issue, it's just i've been used to less...
Sorry for those having troubles with it though... it's a small price to pay for getting skinny though, eh!?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

I did enjoy it! and we bought special mozzarella and lowfat cheddare cheese that went under the guise of being fahiita cheese (it had hot spicey things in it though!!)
Dunc i think the implant is the same hormone as the injection and i had every side effect. migrains. WEIGHT GAINlol and mood swings. wow the mood swings were bad. I am a placide person and i became a raging loon. seriously. throwing plates and everything. the periods went away and so did the pain but the side effects were not worth it. its been six months and still nothing regular and i was like clockwork before.
Maz we did. they are not evry understanding about stuff like this, they brought the cake. They know we are on A diet but not what. i think the cake is sabotage yes??
Duncs. can i have the sheepish face and an angryonei deserve it because i am angry

I do agree but have been spottting for 9 weeks nowthats a big price me thinks
its nothing heavy but it IS annoying.
want to be regular again. have actually started taking herbal fertility pills (doc recommended them) as the best thing to get me regular without putting me on yet more drugs wich my system clearly cant cope with. Only went on Depo for *thinks* i think it was three rounds so 9months. and it helped contribute to a 100pound weight gain...If you dont know where you are going... Any road will take you there :rotfl:0 -
i think a lot of my gain is definitely hormonal and contraceptive related....... the only 1 other time i got skinny was 6 months up to when i fell pregnant... i was drinking like a fish, socialising all the time, no contraception, and not eating properly... (even then i was bigger then than i am now...) not a recommended way to lose weight!!
Still it probably helped me be able to fall pregnant so it's all good, even if she was a bit of a shock!! took me out of my wild ways instantly! well as instantly as "Do you realise you're 12 weeks pregnant?" can be!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Good morning all- it might be afternoon by the time this posts as it's 2 minutes to midday.
How are we all? Well this is day 7 of the diet for me. I have been good for 7 days- I want more clappy hand smilies!
Feeling smiley and happy and energised.
Re the socialising aspect of this diet. It is tricky! I cancelled a night out on Saturday (my first day on the diet) because it would've been myself and my cousin and they wouldn't understand the not drinking thing...thought best to stay in. On the 2nd day went to a chinese restaurant with LL and just had water- he ate enough for both if us! I went for drinks with friends and one Miss Shoes hater (petty and jealous about my promotion) last night and just had sparkling water.
So far the socialising has been fine. Out with LL tonight. Either cinema or pub- either way just sparkling water. My life would be so much easier if I could have tonic water...I love tonic water. First weigh-in tomorrow. Don't think I'm going to hit double figures which I am ANNOYED about.
