    Well done Maz!!

Just an interesting note for everyopne who may be or is worried about sagging skin...

My physio says it can tke up to a year for skin to sort itself out so if AFTER a whole year of your weight loss you still have saggy skin then you know its time for snip snip ;)

in all seriousness though dont have anything done till after a year!
If you dont know where you are going... Any road will take you there :rotfl:

:( Having a crisis. I went for a run on Sunday, training for my RFL next weekend, and ever since, I have felt dire. No energy, majorly dizzy, and I nearly fell asleep while driving up the motorway - not good!!!

Obviously I can't carry on like that, and I can't stop the running as have 2 races coming up in the next 4 weeks. I have to drive 3 hours home after the one next Sunday too, so something has to give - I need to have more energy.

Thinking of adding a meal but I've lost my bluddy book, so I don't know what the meal is supposed to be.

Because I've felt so crap, I've snacked like a snacky thing from snack town the last couple of days, and according to my scales, I've put a pound on. Only 3 days till weigh in, so yet again I'm going to have, at best, a tiny loss - at worst, a gain.

Do you think adding a meal is the way to go? Can you add a meal for a few weeks then go back to sole source?

Was going to call my CDC but daren't tell her I've lost the book lol!

  • Snaggs there isnt 'add a meal' anymore. There is either ss+ or 810 plan. The first you have 3 CD meals and a 200cal meal from a set plan and 810 is 3 CD meals, 340ml milk and a set meal (however larger portions than ss+). I dont think there is a specific time you have to do the plans unless you are 25 bmi+1 stone. You can do whatever plan you want to. I know on minimins some do 3 weeks ss then 810 for a week.

If I was you I would up your calories and go to either ss+ or request having 4 CD meals because you are training. Seems silly if you put your (and could be childrens) life at risk for a diet.

Snags - honest maz speaks her mind coming up....

I'm really not sure that CD is the diet for you babes.... i never thought you had a lot to lose but only you know your numbers really.... i think you could fill up on good healthy food, 1200 calories and the upped level of training activity you need to achieve with upcoming races...... plus it probably gives better food and health messages to your kids, what with Tash being so young and Ryan's condition, it could be better for them.

    Please don't hate me...!

Thanks for that Pap - will have to have a proper look for the book tomorrow I think.

Maz, silly, I wouldn't ever hate you!!! :) I've got about 2 stones still to lose though, I'm only a short ar*e and am still waaay overweight (but no longer obese - whoop!).

But I don't think CD is the diet for me long term. My cdc is going away for a week, so might keep going till she comes back, and see if I've lost any more weight by then, and if not, come off it and just carry on with the running and healthy eating.

probably a wise decision, you never know, if you have a bumper week then you'll have incentive to carry on going a bit longer... but there are plenty of great diets out there that will work for you if you're determined...

    Hi
I hope it is ok to join you lovely people!
The story so far: did cambridge 18 months ago and lost 4 stone in 4 months, fantastic! Had to stop for a while for various reasons just before i had got to my goal, and have put a bit of the weight back on so want to get it back off asap. Did low carb for 3 weeeks, not impressed with the weight loss as I was REALLY strict and stuck to it rigidly, lost 3 lbs in 3 weeks so was a bit disappointed. Decided to bite the bullet and go back to cambridge, and started last Thursday on SS. think it was fairly easy to get into as I had already been doing low carb. Have got 25 lbs to lose in total, and so far in 6 days I have lost ...........7 lbs!!! Am thrilled! (That is according to my scales, I dont go for my weigh in with the CDC until Wednesday evening)
So have got 18 lbs left to lose. Feel fine, apart from wanting to eat! Although I am not hungry as such, just missing food, if that makes sense. hard also when cooking for the family, but being very good so far.
re the shakes etc, I love all 3 of the choc flavours, vanilla, fruits of the forest, capuccino. HATE the porridges and soups! And I also have been having the water flavouring, i know you are not supposed to have it until week 2 or 3 but it is the only way I can drink water, been drinking 3 to 4 litres a day and I only put a tiny bit of the flvouring in, just enough to take away the taste of the water!
Cant wait till I can have the bars as I love those! Also, I saw 21 chocolate tetras offered on Freecycle yesterday, and managed to grab them, so that should save me some pennies too.

    Morning All.
Hope you are all fine and Dandy, my w/e was a tale of two halves!! Survived Saturday, and most of Sunday, be we went out for tea and I did eat and have a few drinks, Monday was a failed (because of the weather) BBQ, with cold lager. Straight back on the wagon though, which is a good result for me.

Still feeling good this morning, and put some pants on today for work that I havent worn for a few weeks, and I have had to put a belt on them to keep them up. Didn't manage to do the wardrobe sort out, but think I will have to asap as I need to work out what clothes will fit.
I think I'm a bit in betweeny at the mo. I did try my 14 jeans on, which fitted, but didn't exactly look wonderful, but my 16's are all getting looser, Wahay!!!!

    Hi Michele,
Course its OK to join in, well done on what you have lost so far, I sure it won't take too long for you to lose the rest. I miss food a lot, and do have to give in occasionally, but I am feeling much more positive these days.
