Yay, well done HWGA!! I've been an abject failure and haven't got back on the waggon. In reality, it's too hard for me to do by myself I think....I need to find a Cambridge counsellor and have a weekly shock tactic.

Maybe Sunday as I'm out tomorrow, lol....
  • Start again with me Kittikins....I'm having the weekend off as have some parties planned with friends which is why have been a saint for the last three weeks :T Am getting back on track Monday until end of July when am off to stay with my bessie mate in Liverpool !!:j:beer: Need to be a stone lighter by then :rotfl:

Sounds good to me, I do want to restart on Sunday but then a friend has invited me and DD to join her at village pub to sit in the garden and drink P"mm's whilst her man watches the footie.....

I have got to sort myself out, so Sunday or Monday it is :):)

    Hey HWGA!

Ive just started CD again after 6 months off. How did your weigh in go this week?

    Em
  • Hi saw this thread and just have to say that I think the Cambridge Diet is the easiest diet I Have ever encountered. I have yoyo dieted for years and over the past three was in total denial about my weight. I did the Paul McKenna thing and dissed all diets as fads and refused to go on anymore. Until I was weighed at the doctors and I almost fainted.

I decided something drastic was needed and had heard about Lighter Life and came across Cambridge on the internet. Comparing the two, the only apparent difference is the cost for the 'counselling ' you receive on Lighter Life - but it almost doubles the cost. I really don't require anyone to tell me why I am overweight. It is time to lose the bulk - it is as simple as that.

So I started Cambridge three weeks ago, and with not much hope of getting through the first week. Three shakes and not even a decent cuppa - I thought it was doomed to fail. Then the first weeks WI showed me a loss of 9lbs and it spurred me on. To say the diet got easier is an understatement, I am now on week four and not remotely interested in food - even though I can have a small meal to supplement my CDC diet now if I so choose.

I feel marvellous having lost one and a half stone after three weeks. Apparently I am not hungry because my body is in a mild ketogenic state. It is only when you blip and come out of it, that you become hungry. Plenty of water is the key to this. I consume about 4 litres a day, no trouble

The shakes for the most part are delicious if mixed properly. I use a Smoothie maker and crushed ice. With the cappucino shake, I add a drop of strong black coffee to give it a kick. You can also get the mousse mix - which turns the shake of your choice into a soft mousse not unlike Angel Delight.

I am so glad I found this diet and would recommend it to anyone struggling with WW or other diets.
