    Hey everyone,

Well went to see my CDC this morning and ......... 10 3/4 pounds lost!!! Woohooo!:j
I feel much more motivated now, cant wait till I make it a full stone!

Duncan, I have PCOS too so know how you feel. It's one of the reasons why I have struggled with my weight soo much!

HWGA, Love the dress! i'm sure it will be loose on you!

LML that is a brilliant inch loss well done:T

Well I'm getting ready to go off to my OH;s familly for the weekend! This is really going to try me as his mum makes the best home cooked food on the plannet! oh well wish me luck! :A

Everyone have a good weight loss day!
  • Wow Br33ni Thats a fantastic first week - Well done - just make sure you resist the temptation over the weekend. it is super hard, but its too early in your journey to take a weekend off, and you have done so well.
With the PCOS, there are a lot of people doing CD that seem to have it - I know it causes weight issues, but I have to be realistic, and honest, I just eat and drink too much!!!! GOOD LUCK YOU HAVE THOSE INTERNAL ARGUMENTS AND MAKE SURE YOU WIN!

I think clothes look better a little looser, skimming rather than grabbing if you know what I mean.
I loved your reply! Exactly the right thing to say, :rotfl::rotfl:I can't believe someone would come out and say something like that, very ignorant. My implant is to treat dodgy monthlies no birth control.

Chazsuck - welcome to the club! 8lbs already thats a great start. I used to be a dancer and was pretty fit and lean, even had comments about being too thin! That was 20 years ago now.
Lost the plot over the last 15. I did have a bloke come up to me once at the gym and tell me how surprised he was that someone who was once so fit could let themselves go - And that was about 3 stone ago:o.
I thought that was a bit cheeky, I dont think he meant to be nasty, and maybe thought it was bit of a backdoor compliment. Unfortunately it didnt' give me the wake up call I needed even then!
  • Hurrah for you Br33n1 - wow! Week one has been hard but so worth it! Stay strong at the in laws, the food and cooking will be there to enjoy after you've lost the weight.

HWGA - love that dress, it's totally up my street. Hey you've got six weeks so you could always exchange for a 14 if the 16 is too big!

Duncan - that guy at the gym was pretty outspoken, there is so much emphasis on how you look externally and I feel the pressure much stronger then I did five years ago. It's not enough to be a good person, hard worker or caring parent - you have to look perfect too. Over the xmas break I watched loads of old films, Some like it hot, kiss me kate etc and the women looked fantastic. It was a relevation to see soft arms! Not fat arms or flabby arms but soft arms - not muscley!

Piratess - next week's loss will be fab so don't get hung up on the scales this week. Or get yourself some scales which measure fat, water, bmi etc - I love mine

Hello chaz and Kutiecat - let us know your first week's loss.
  • :rotfl:Curvy - LML:rotfl:. Thats what we need to aim for. I think its a great expression and you are so right, wasnt Marilyn Monroe a 16?

I have a few "skinny" friends, only a little bit older than me (41) and believe me they do look much older because they havent any chubby bits to push out the wrinkles.

You get to a certain age I think, when you need a little bit of "roundness".

My best body shape was when I was 25 and was getting married, I was 10.5 stone, so only about half a stone under my "normal" range, but I was swimming, a lot, about 4 times a week, 70 to 100 lengths a go.

Never managed to recapture my enthusiasm for that either:(. even though I've tried a few times.
  • Lunchtime, mmmmm, I thought a Tetra was denying myself, Oh how I would love one now.

Lunch today is sparkly water, black coffee and a packet of sugar free gum!!
  • Oh I've a very grumbly tummy now. Won't be forgetting again in a hurry!
  • Morning All,

Well managed to get through another day 100%.
Don't recommend trying to get all your packs in in 4 hours though. Dont know if its me still being a bit off or not eating all day, but had the runs last night.

Which wasnt too bad, until I thought it had subsided and took the dog for a walk! It hadn't - it was a long way home with everything clenched:o, and the the dog pooed, and I had to try and bend down and pick it up...... By the time I got home - without accident I should add - I was having hot flushes and feeling dreadful:(. It wore off though after I had had a sit down, some water and my last pack.

    Its gone again this morning.

Well weekend is nearly here - always a testing time for me. Friday nights are usually Pizza, wine and nibbles nights with the family in front of the TV. Think I may take the dog for an extra long walk and do a bit of housework, get a bit of a headstart on the weekend.

WI With CDC in the morning - even though I am not using it as my "official" one it will be good to see my progress since last Saturday.

Daily weigh in was 1.4lbs off - must have been the dodgy tum.
  • Moring all

Duncan - I've had that before if i have my packs too closely together!

Am struggling today, very tired and busy at work, need my bed....:( Also am going out tomorrow night for a few 'drink's with the girls....i'm driving and soda water all round, when am really fancying my favourite tipple after a hectic week....will just have to be a saint and stick to the water :A

Guess am just missing 'food' at the mo....ah well only another 36 days until my birthday when i can have add a meal for a couple of days and a few drinkies :o

Good luck over the weekend, am hoping to catch up on sleep...my excuse is if i'm asleep i can't eat:rotfl::rotfl: even though i have been dream 'cheating' the last few nights....how very sad lol :)
  • HWGA, thats me at the weekend, feel like I deserve a drink and relaxation - sparkly water just isn't the same is it.

I miss food too - I once went to a hypnotherapy weight loss class at the gym, I told her how I could be wonderful for 2-3 weeks, but during that time, I would crave pizza's cheese, steak etc.... as soon as I had a "moment" I would have to eat all of the things I had craved before I could even think of getting back on track. By that time of course I would undo all of the good work and be back to square one!!
She told me I had a problem and needed to book in some 1 to 1 sessions:rotfl:
This time I have got myself a little hardback notebook, and when I see things, (I do love my cookery programs) I am writing them down for when I can eat normally, so that I can use them as planned meals, rather than just going all out for everything in sight - no idea if its going to work, but it sort of gives me something to look forward to at the end of the journey.:p

Dream Cheatings good - no calories:)
