Thanks for the encouragement everyone and I'm glad my positivity has motivated you LML!
Duncan I hear what your saying and also found myself starting to weigh at different parts of the day and now realised you cant judge by the fluctuations. So I will continue to weigh first thing in the morning, just as I know i cant refrain myself lol. But altermatly I will only judge by my weekly W.I.
I have had a good day today although tormented myself looking at my brothers Chilli left on the stove....! I prevented myself from eating any:T and am still 100% I'm hopeing my will power will maintain over the coming weeks.
Piratess well done on the loss and remember every pound counts! :T It all helps out in the end, I totally agree with Duncan.
I really can't wait for my W.I! Im itching to update the weight tracker Duncan kindly sent me, I think that will be a real help looking at the figures improve each week.
Keep up the good work everyone.:A0 -

Hi everyone, I'm back, kind of.....the "last supper" on Saturday night was fantastic, the restaurant has now edged out another place to be my second favourite place in the world ever - lucky that, my favourite restau is in my village, my second favourite is near my parents, so I don't have to travel far, lol.
Due to the back etc I couldn't be !!!!!d to start on Sunday and also didn't want my parents to know I was going back on as I can tell that they're now bored witless with my weight struggle (as am I!).
Yesterday I started out with good intentions but got nervous later in the day as I had a kinesiology appointment (he also does hypnotherapy and psychotherapy) and so I foolishly binged on carp before seeing him. Well, the appointment was very interesting, and we worked on some emotional rubbish around me chomping.
I had a healthy dinner and a snack later, but not a "naughty" binge and managed to lose 1lb woo hoo!
Today, I've had a shake and am not sure what choice I'll make later in the day, but I'm feeling really calm and like this is my life, not food 'owning' me, so I'm sure that if I enjoy a soup or have a salad, it'll be a good choice
Last night I looked at my summer clothes and realised that I need to get back to where I was just before my back went as the clothes I want to wear will probably be a bit tight at the moment. Added incentive, I have some nice skirts I want to swish about in0 -
Morning Everyone,
Stokegal, Glad to see you are back on track. In many ways this is such an easy diet. There are no good or bad choices, no portion control you have what you are allowed and thats it.........its just that sometimes its the flavours that you crave and the temptation can be so hard to resist.
My worst time is in the evenings when I am getting tired.
I have tried so many diets over the last 15 years, manage a stone easily and then just fall to pieces, gradually adding to the previous high weight. It is all in the mind and I am really trying this time to make a go of it and talk myself out of "extras" and nibbles. The important thing after a bit of a hiccup is to get straight back on track, the longer you leave it the harder it is, and then you start to make excuses about why its not worth starting yet - I have been doing this for years:o.
When I fell off the wagon I stopped visiting the thread, embarrased I suppose, but it was revisiting the thread that motivated me to pick myself up and try again, dont dissappear, even if you only lurk, every bit of support and motivation helps.
Can't wait to hear your next WI.
Bride - Its a bit like well if you can't have something nice then I don't want to prat about making up bloody milkshakes. I do sometimes make up a slushy one with ice at teatime, but most times I just grab a tetra, they are great for work, I just bring two in for breakfast and lunch. No messing.
When is your WI?
Br33ni - Although it feels like its dragging now it will pick up speed and it won't be long until you are several weeks and stones into it.
Watch out for those leftovers. My mum and dad moved in with us about 6 years ago. Mum became chief cook, Dad is the handyman. Problem is my mum loves cooking, she was brought up on a farm and still thinks she is feeding all the workers. She loves baking and there is always cakes, and breads and pastries lying around, that she has just "knocked" up. We bought ourselves a superposh ice cream maker for christmas, all of these things are sent to try you, (another reason why I like tetras, they stay in the drinks fridge in the garage so I can sort of blinker myself to get in and out quick!!!) Just try and remember that you will be able to have all these things (in moderation of course) just not yet:).
Piratess - must be something in the air, I lost 2lb overnight aswell;), This now takes me back to where I thought I was after the disaster with the scales. 9 days behind but never mind, its going in the right direction and thats what matters. What do you do? It seems a little mean to expect you to be on standby with no compensation.
Kittikins - " The Last Supper" I have had so many of them its untrue, I hope I have had my last. Its good to hear that you are feeling so positive, whats kinesiology? If it makes you feel that good maybe I should get some too!!
Well I had a 100%er yesterday, another one to mark off my chart and my daily weigh showed 2lb as mentioned before which gets me to my original start point.
Feeling much better today, cold has almost cleared up, so thank you very much indeed for all your good wishes - they definitely worked - Good Karma on this forum:A0 -
Kinesiology is muscle testing to see if certain foods/things are not liked by your body. It's very odd but seems to work. I had it done years ago, and was told that wheat wasn't good for me.......and I certainly seem to crave "bad" things like bread and binge on that far too often! As he also does the other therapies, we're going to work on all kinds of things as I know I have a lot of issues and am hoping to get my head sorted once and for all!0

That sounds interesting. I know that bread, well carbs in general make me feel very bloated and lethargic, but I just thought that everyone did really.
Mmm, mind have a read about that, thanks for replying and its good to hear you find it works!0 -
well ive managed to escape work and if they ring now i shall just tell them i dont have the car! ..
Duncan im a carer in the community driving round to peoples homes, helping then shower, wash, dress in the mornings, prepare a meal, hoist in and out of bed etc to use loo wash ..I do love my job but the company are rubbish
Hoping to be a thinner me in 2010!0 -
That sound like a fulfilling job - you must be a lovely person! I know someone who did that and she didn't last very long. Some of the people she used to care for were horrible, although some of them were lovely too!
Its a pity the company don't give you more support, it is the type of job that not many people would do well, they should treasure the ones that do.0 -
What a lovely thing to say thankyou Duncan, My mum did the same job for 25 years and she loved it
We do get the odd awkward ones and i just put on my smile and nod face before i go in LOL
Most of them are lovely always offer me cuppas really love it, Just have to try to understand that the horrible ones must have had a hard life lol ..Hoping to be a thinner me in 2010!0 -
