Well Done Rolley - 5 lb and a stone in total - Fantastic,
Keep up the good work, I've never tried the mix a mousse, just mainly stick to tetras.
Thanks for the feeling better wishes everyone, they must be working, I am starting to feel a little more human again.
My pigging mouse has stopped working, I have a wireless one at work and its doing my head in that I have to keep using the mouse pad on the laptop - going to have to go and get a new one at lunchtime methinks - hence no smilies and clappies rolley, they are there in thought!!!!0 -
Hey everyone,
Well this is my 5th day in and im feeling more human, the weekend was really tough as i had to cook all meals for everyone and take them to the cinema while they ate popcorn and they insisted on McDonalds after, whilst I sat driving them home the car was full of burger smells (I dont even likeMcDonalds!) But it smelt soo good! it's awfull as you feel so resentfull at the time then i get guilty over moaning about it, although the sarcastic comments of "oh, were not really enjoying this at all!" doesn't really help. Oh well I have been 100% and I know it will pay off in the long run.
I have a feeling there are a few bets laid on to how long I am going to last on this diet. But then again it is making me more stubborn to prove them wrong! I have found I need to quit weighing myself daily as some days I am down a few pounds then the next day im up a pound and i get disheartened.
Duncan, I hope you feel much better soon, I bet it is very difficult when your feeling ill and still 5lb is deffinatly an acheivement! :T
HWGA That is amaizing! I hope I can acheive 20lb in 3 weeks. Well done :T
Piratess , I am crossing my fingers for you, really hope you have good results.:)
Rolley, Well done on the 5lb! :T
Right I need to start revising I have 2 exams on wednesday and I am hoping I will be feeling leveled out and a little more alive by then. At least being able to focus my brain on anything other than food will hopefully be helpfull.
Hope everyone has a good day!:)0 -
Wow, there's some really fab results coming through the thread. 20lbs in 3 weeks is fab HWGA.
Dunc, I can really sympathise with the cold. I've been suffering with something similar and it's been a week now and I'm fed up of it. Apparently, it's all to do with the detox my CDC says.
Bride2B, I'm also trying to get smaller for my wedding in July. I went for my dress measurements on Sat and they had to be taken in my pants in front of a full length mirror. Not cool, just looking at myself made me want to scurry back home for some food and wine. But the dress is made to measure so I have to be the size I will be in summer by early March. I know I have to stick at this diet to have any hope of reaching this weight but it's harder then I thought. I know our OH's love us just as we are but I am dreading the photos
Piratess, well done for cooking the family's dinner even if they're ungrateful. My OH cooked lamb kebabs on sat night, wow, they looked and smelt amazing. It's the home cooking I miss the most.
Over the last 12 months I have lost about 2.5-3 stone but I don't feel any different. Some of my old clothes are huge and others are still tight. I have a family celebration mid feb so that's keeping me going, maybe those who haven't seen me for a bit will be able to notice more and that should remotivate me!0 -
Br33ni - love your post, it's bucked me up a bit. I need to stop feeling sorry for myself and just focus on staying on this 100%0
-
Well done Br33ni, staying on track over the weekend is always the hardest, you are right about proving them wrong, turn it into a positive.
The weighing each day thing can be a little disheartening, as my new scales have been a bit like a new toy, I was on and off them all day yesterday due to various trips to the loo. The conclusion I came to is that phew its weird.
It defintely went up throughout the day, but not everytime?? It varied by 3.8 lbs, so thats nearly 4lbs, thats a lot really, and a whole weeks average loss on CD SS.
I think the conclusion I came to is - yes I need to keep doing a daily check, once, in the morning.- but be aware that this is very likely to fluctuate and I need to go by my weekly WI for record purposes.
Not long for your WI now, I am sure you will have a good one - and good look for your exams.0 -
LML, you keep up the good work, and don't forget you need to get to the beginning of March, for your first fit, but you can still keep up the good work. Its easy to take the dress in - a bit of a problem to let it out.
Its a great short term goal for you though!
Your body can sometimes take a while to catch up, have no idea why, and everyone loses in different ways. I tend to put on/ lose all over, even fingers and toes, it is a double edged sword as it sneaks on without me noticing, but then I never really look quite as heavy as I weigh.
My mum puts all hers on from the top of her bum to the top of her boobs - she is only half a stone heavier than me, but looks much heavier because its all in the same place, and then she has these lovely skinny legs!!
Good Luck, when is you WI?0 -
WOW some brilliant losses this week
:j Fantastic :T
Ive had w.i and i lost 3lb this weekI think thats ok isnt it ??? CDC said that she thought it would have been a bit more, and that i might not be drinking enough water or may be holding onto water ...
HoHum heres to the next week altho i wont be getting weighed until the 8th of Feb as im in Cornwall so will try and keep an eye on it so we will see ...
duncan i find i scale hope ... i get on the scales as soon as ive had a wee in the morning, and i get on them before i go to bed ... they are always a 1lb out either way
br33ni im glad your feeling better todaythe worst is definatly over with now
to everyone else keep on going keep on pushing
another 100% day 22 for meHoping to be a thinner me in 2010!0 -
3lb is fabby Piratess!:T:A.
Well Done, as we just been saying, it all comes off eventually, and if you average it out you will see a better loss later on, (Maybe not next week if you are having a weekend away:), although your next WI will be seven days after so make sure you dont do a Duncan and take a week to get back on track!)0 -
I'm sorry everyone
I have not posted in ages and tbh I lost the plot a bit and didn't want to admit it on here. It off last week, I had an amazing lost my first week - 13lbs then on my 2nd week I had blip and was so hungry I only lost 2lb, then for the past week I've been SS+ instead of just SS - then to top it all off it was DS's 1st birthday party yesterday and I was so determinded not to have anything... then the munchies got me. I conned myself by only grabbing a bit bt then I went back and back and then when I added it all up today it was loads - half a quiche, a quarter of a sandwich, 1 mini scotch egg, 2 mini pepperonis, 2 mini sausage rolls and a piece of birthday cake... So now I'm back with a vengence... I have to do SS all this week as I'm going to Dublin this weekend for OH's birthday so I need to try and salvage something from this week.
Anyway sorry for the rant,
Oh and congratulations to everyone on the fabby losses - I WILL be adding to them soon!!!!0 -
Hey Duncan
Tetras sound like a plan i need convenience. My local consultant is £40 for the standard packs so i will ask about the ready made if theres a cost difference.
Love the post about scales it reminds me when i did LL and would weigh myself after every toilet trip!!LOL.It got a bit obessive so i think youre right theres a happy medium..if you need to peek do it but bear in mind just how much we fluctuate.I was sometimes 5lb heavier in the evening and was like errrm how on just liquid but that's me!
Some great losses- well done all! Can't wait to join you.
