Hello all
I am wondering if i could please join your thread. I am back on SS today. I sucessfully lost 5 stones on ss last year but stupidly have put most of it all back on  I am determined to shift this weight once and for all. I know this sounds daft but in a way i am glad i put the weight back on as it has reinforced that i need to loose it. I feel ugly and so unhealthy. I actually also miss my shakes
I have already had 1 pint of water. Hungry with my tummy rumbling already but i dont care as come the summer i am going to be a yummy mummy! :rotfl:Member of Thrifty Gifty ~ Making money for Christmas 2010:£2 Savers club member no 40 ~ £54Amazon Vouchers BingoPort ~ £10Dooyoo Challenge Jan ~ £24.07 / £20.00 Yippee over target :j0 -
Hiya Cheeky Princess welcome to the thread, i can totally relate to you....i lost 5stone previously with LL/Cambridge and its gradually all gone back on:cool: my own fault of course, if i had been sensible then it wouldn't have happened but i got it in my head hey i'm skinny i can eat what i like....i should have put a cap on how much i let myself put back on but unfortunately is easier said than done
Welcome back, never thought I would get through the first week, but am almost at the end of week 2, with around 15 weeks to go:rolleyes: lots and lots of determination and hard work but like you say, i think this time around we will appreciate it more :T0 -
Completely off topic I realise, but I wanted to ask if anyone has tried the avidlite range of MRF like soups bars and shakes. I understand that they are the same as the new you, kee diet and a couple of others. They are a complete meal replacement as they have all the vitamins etc.
Wow these losses are amazing keep it up!
*how do you deal with smelly breath? that really worries me?*July Win: Nokia 58000 -
ethansmum - you become good friends with your toothbrush and breath fresheners and get totally paranoid the whole time that you stink
But hey, what's a few weeks/months of being a bit whiffy compared to being less chunky.
(I must also say I'm "lucky" as I'm single, no kissing around here *sob*, so only have my DD to offend with any dragon breath, lol)0 -

Hello! I'm a new starter for cambridge, currently on day 8. Feeling much hungrier now I've been on for a few days compared to when I started. I suppose you just have to keep drinking the water (I've upped my intake to about 4-4.5l a day as I used to drink 2l minimum before the diet).
The first offical weight gave me a weightloss of 9lbs (although unoffical on my own scales was 13lbs but those weighed half a stone lighter at the start).
It has been totm this week so that be why I'm feeling so hungry. My CC offered me the bars this week as she said they help with the hunger but I'm going to continue with shakes and soups.
I am a bit worried about going crazy when the diet stops but I'm doing this for my wedding in July (and my main dress fittings in march and april) so that should keep me on the straight and narrow until then.
Does anyone else's mouth water for ages? It's getting very annoying!0 -
Well good Afternoon Everyone, lots of new faces, well done everyone for having a go at this crazy diet - it works though.
PAPster - Well done you. Can you believe how amazing your journey has been so far. I am so proud of you. Whilst loads of us fell along the wayside you kept going and even with a couple of blips you have picked yourself up and made amazing progress.
Just read about your docs concerns, they seem a little odd as they are easily explained by the diet, Of course you have high Keytone levels, you are positively encouraging them, and when you are drinking so much water each day its going to be pretty damn clear. I think the health benefits brought by the diet must surely outweigh the negatives.
So how many dolls are you up to now, you must be getting a bit of a family together. Hope work is going OK and you are feeling dandy.
So where was I?
I was bad - very bad - very very bad - very very very bad.
Went on holiday, and basically lost the plot, have tried "eating healthily" but its just not happening.
So - back on plan this coming Monday - will make up my charts. Fill in my BMI target thingy from Maz, which is still on my PC I even copied it over when I changed computer, just havent opened it.
Have my packs and tetras out and ready and in a very weird way am looking forward to getting back on plan.
Bye for now0 -
Hey LML .. nice to meet you
Im on day 11 I dont have any hunger atall and i have the complete opposite to you as far as the watery mouth mine is Always dry! i cannot get rid of the dryness ...
welcome onboard xx
Hey Duncan welcome backIm new to the Cd diet and so far im enjoying not having to choose what foods to eat lol .. I have the same concern as you though when i finish it! i dont want to pile thw weight back on! ... Ive only just started and im scared already lol
Had 1 shake so far, as normal it was my yummy warm choccy one mmmmHoping to be a thinner me in 2010!0 -
Piratess - Dont be scared but plan ahead. my problem was stopping for my hols and then never really getting back on track.
My CDC has loads of people who maintain, once you reach target for SSing, then you work your way back up through the plans to "normal" eating. Lots of her ladies still go for a weigh in each week, even after a year, then if they creep up by 5lbs for example, they have a few days of packs to get back on track.
Unfortunately I was just putting it off and making excuses not to start again, I had a little go that fizzled out almost as quickly as it started. Sometimes I have to entertain customers and that can be difficult.
And I was making lots of bad food choices, and, the worst culprit, alcohol. Have got back into the very bad habit of just having the odd glass or 4 and thats a big no no.
The diet works so well, and I think it works well for me as it just takes away the choices for a while.
You should be feeling pretty good now after 11 days, I know after a couple of weeks I felt invincible, loads of energy and raring to go.
LML, I have a similar problem, after a restrictive diet I have a terrible tendancy to want to eat everything in sight. Keep focused on your wedding, thats a great incentive to keep going - All those photos to look forward to!
Keep up the good work.0 -
Hello all,
Well, its my 2nd day on the CD. I started with the 810 - I knew I'd never make it on SS/SS+. My CDC wasn't as helpful as some of yours seem to be - she hasn't offered to call and check on me...should she have?
I'm on 3 CD a day, 1 being the bars - is this ok? I've got 3 st to lose...all I can think about is food, especially meat! I went to bed last nite at 9pm just so I wouldn't torment myself any longer.
Also, is it ok to make up a chinese style soup (water based) using some of my veg allowance before having the meal? There isn't much in the soup so I figure it doesnt add to the calories and it helps fill me up...am I just undoing all my hard work and sacrifice???
I really hope I can stick with this...0
