    Hi all

Wow Piratess7lb - I'm so chuffed for you!!! I hope it makes it all worthwhile and PAP - congrats, another 4lb - next stop size 0 :D

Well I'm feeling a bit rubbish at the moment - I ate all of my nice shakes at the beginning of the week and I'm only left with 1 that I like until I see my cdc at 6pm tomorrow. I had 2 compliments todays of "Have you lost weight?" :j:j So I'm hoping for a good weight loss although I bet I get there and she tells me I've gained lol.

I'm a bit worried too as I'm going away for the weekend at the end of the month (to Dublin - OH's Birthday Present) and I'm worried that I'll put all the weight back on that I've manage to lose between now and then, I know they say if you want to drink, have vodka and diet coke but I HATE diet coke - I normally have vodka with pure orange juice or cranberry juice. I've already decided I'm only going to eat 1 meal a day in the evening and I'll make it plain chicken or fish with vegetables but I just dont want to come out of ketosis - be massively hungry and have a binge

So how did we all do for day 1?? I saw that PAP is a smilie - well done!! Also PAP I noticed on your list that you drank 9 litres of water in one day - is that right??? If so - Wow!!

  • piratess ~ So glad your new meeting went well. I think having her come to you will be easier as well with childcare etc. As for you old CDC be truthful... She was too far away and you have now found someone closer to home. CDC's at this time of year shouldnt worry about losing a few as many find this deit in january. My CDC has had 5 people in the last week to enquire

I sooo cant wait till your weigh-in next week :D

stokegal ~ :rotfl: at size 0 I dont think so some how! As for all the comments I didnt get them till about 2 months in but I hide it well and had far more to lose. It keeps you going though. Ohhh and dont worry about not losing, you cant not lose on less than 500cal a day.

Big problem with your weekend away Stokie. Please dont drink alcohol if you are in ketosis anything, it could be fatal... see here. Btw minimins is another forum, I dont use it but others have. I generally go there if I need a question answered (and serch for an answer) before I call my CDC/CD HQ :D

Yes 9 litres is about right for me. As I have said before I drink far far more than is required. Mainly because after doing this so long my body now craves more water. My CDC is worried about me though and things I may have diabeates but I haven't been to the docs yet :o If I feel thirsty (a totally different feeling to hunger, you will get to know the feeling once you are a few months in) I will drink, even if I push 10litres, however I can do a litre in one go (well 10/15 min span) now my body can cope with it. Please dont you try it though you could mess up your electrolytes and effectively keel over

Ohh and even more shoking... I ran today :T and I am planning to do a race for life in June. I want to start getting ready for when i have to maintan and get fit :D

Oh and I hope you will all have me once I am on maintance  :o

    Morning everyone and welcome kittikins.

Pap - concerned about you. Please get yourself checked out. This is potentially too serious to leave. If all is well then there is nothing to be concerned about. However I have a wonderful friend who lost her sight to diabetes. She too decided that she would get it checked out 'soon' - it wasn't soon enough. I am not scaremongering, just very worried and sending you a massive hug.

Piratess - brill that your cdc is coming to the house. You'll be able to keep a true sneaky eye on the scales as well:p

HWGA - that is a lot of work:eek:.......look positive! Makes paying for cd a little easier!!

Stokegal - mmmm, like pap says, not a good idea to drink. I went away for a work weekend thing at about the same stage as you. I made use of the bars for travelling etc, nobody knew (still don't:rotfl:)that I was /am following cd and I just stuck as best I could to protein and steered fully away from carbs. I decided to lie (:o) and said I couldn't drink because of meds I was on, and made out like I was miffed as well, just stuck to gallons of fizzy water. I can't remember the numbers, but I know the w/i the following week was fine.

Not jumped on the scales since the other day pap, just had the last of my bars for breakfast, that is probably a good thing 'cos I like them too much!!!! As I am away this weekend, the best I can hope for is to have stayed the same since last time, that would mean that I have lost christmas. However, I'm genuinely not too bothered, my head is in the right place now so the last month can go and whistle:D:D. Just looking through the packs I have left though ....not good, all the grotty ones from when I started!! At the moment all I can stomach is strawberry, think I'm going to look like one soon.....

Please can I have a clappy thing as well:p:p:p:p xxxxxxx

PS : GO YOU PAP FOR RUNNING - WHAT AN ABSOLUTE STAR - BET YOU WOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT A YEAR AGO! SO CHUFFED FOR YOU. WELL DONE XXXXX

PAP - I agree, get yourself sorted young lady, my mum is Type I diabetic (childhood onset) and it's horrible, are your sticks consistently very dark pink and that's why your CDC thinks you may have diabetes? Please please please go and see the doctor.

Right, day 1 for me, time to start drinking water :)

Kittikins ~ Welcome back to the thread. Good luck on your first day back on the wagon. Are you still doing LL or ahve you switched to CD?

piratess ~ Sorry to hear about the snow cause problems where you live. we have snow down here too but luckly I dont have to go to work this week. I think I am extremely lucky :D

hunbun ~ I love your attitude, as you say whats in the past is the past nothing else :D Sorry to hear you only have horrid packs left. I heve one vanilla that I realy dont want so i keep pushing it to the back :rotfl: You dont have long now till weigh-in though so you can stock up on your faves... which strawberry is my fave too :D

As for running, no 4 months ago I posted on mse and was determinded I would never run. Well December I was umming and ahhing and then just after my birtdhay I decided I would. I am now going to do a Race for Life in June :T

Thanks for all your concerns :A I googled diabetes this morning and now think I do need a test :o Mainly because for the last 4 months I have had really ichy legs (all through summer and winter) to a point I would break my skin itching them. I thought it was prickly heat so ignored it. I have also been having trouble with my eyes (I wear glasses for driving so thought I would need them full time) and cant seem to focus on bus numbers etc. The excessive thirst/weightloss/dizzyness/dry mouth I all put down to this diet but it is also symptoms  I will be rining the doctors today and getting fitted in, I guess its needed just incase :) I will get back to you :D

100% day yesterday. I didnt drink as much but thats because on weigh-in morning nothing passes my lips :rotfl:

    9-11 ~ 1 litres of water
    11am ~ banana shake
    12-1pm ~ run
    1pm ~ strawberry tetra
    1-5pm ~ 2 litres
    5pm ~ Green tea
    6pm ~ choc mint shake
    6-11pm ~ 3 litres

Have a great day all

Edit ~ I am going this afternoon to see a doctor and hopefully get a test :)

Phew, pleased to hear it honey, hope you didn't feel too nagged!

I'm using up my LL packs, have a month or so's worth and then will work out what to do to get the final bit off. I will be using Slimfa$t or Te$co's meal replacement bars as they're a darned sight cheaper than getting them from LL, for the time being!

I've emailed my friend my starting weight, gulp.
