Hi all,
I have been sat here this morning trying to drink a hot chocolate orange shake thinking OMG do I really have to keep doing this! I am on day 6 of SS and reading your threads has really made me focus. I knew this weekend was going to be hard drinking water as at work i have a bottle of water on my desk to remind me of how much i need to drink. I started CD SS on Monday without really thinking about it, My CDC is fantastic she emails me every morning asking how i am feeling, what packets I have tried and what i thought of them - My CDC is my sister so I have an advantage. I need to lose a total of 2 stone which doesn't seem like much but I have been trying all different diets for what feels like forever to no avail! I weighed myself yesterday morning and for the first time in years i was UNDER 11 stone, this is a real achievement for me as I can not remember the last time I was that, came close a few times but never under. I am hoping that by joining this thread it will keep me focussed. I am at a point where I could so easily munch my way through all the cupboards in the house!0 -
Kala ~ I agree with unbun it could be any manner of reasons. One of the most common is scale difference. My old CDC scales would be 3lb higher than mine at home its just natural. I wouldnt worry at all as long as you have been having your water and being 100% you will have lost.
I hope your 'meal' out wasnt to bad either
Hunbun ~ So sorry I can't advise with chineseHere are soem suggestions but I know idea what you can buy there so they maybe pants :rotfl: White fish meal but without the sauce
Or maybe a small handful of rice (have brown reather than white) with some chicken. The only thing you can do is avoid the high carb meals and 'empty' carbs so the breads etc. I hoep you get on ok nevertheless. They will make you fel ill but you wont take long to get back into ketosis, just up teh water for a day or two.
Only ice-creaming maybe once a week if that. Its just too cold now. Since I have lost this weight and I am in ketosis I am always freezing so I had to give up my ice cream  I am on a 'strawberry kick' as my CDC says as I just buy strawberry all the time :rotfl: The blender is fabby, droped it so many times (the jug) and its still alive to tell the tell. My old one I will be taking on holiday and then bining on our way home :rotfl:
HEREWEGOAGAIN ~ Welcome , you sound like me with the early nights. I am now in bed by about 9pm each night :rotfl: Glad to see SS+ is working for you. I think thats what is so great about CD that the plans are all different and you can follow one that will work for you. I hope you had a good time at the cinema
Honeybust ~ Welcome to mse/the CD thread. Please try and drink your shake within 15min or the vitimins will now longer be avalible. I am guessing you got a few of each flavour to try? I did the same in my first week and there were many I had to knock back because I hated them. I made a note of the ones I liked and I stuck with just them since. Just think after this week you can just buy the ones you like and thats it. Congrats on getting under 11 stone and I hope you lose this extra 2stone on CD... Good luck :T0 -
Well i had my weigh in yesterday morning and ive lost 6lbs :j im now 12stone 10lbs.
I couldnt have the chinese in the end there were no tables left so had to settle for a carvery which was nice, just stuck to turkey and veg with a little gravy. Also had a small piece of Birthday cake but it was for a special occasion so i couldnt really say no. But this week im back on the straight and narrow - no cheating0 -
Well, I did the Chinese and it was ok, had no starter and we all had a banquet so I put rice in bottom of bowl like everyone else then picked and pecked at chicken, prawns and veg. Didn't touch rice:j......but then, Sunday and today I have gone off the rails BIG STYLE:mad: I did so well so why now! I am giving myself a verbal kick up the backside, aaaaaggghhh!!!
Brill news on loss Kala87. Keep going (I am listening to my own advice!)
Thanks for the positivity PAP, I am hoping to pull some of your willpower off the screen.:D
Bye for now. xxxxxxxxx0 -
well done on the weight loss guys !!
am on day 7 of SS+....WI is on Wednesday evening...am getting a tad nervous now !! I succumbed to some chocolate yesterday, i have no idea why, was just fed up and gave in...i had 5 tiny chocs from a tin of celebrations...am sooooo mad at myself, just hope i still have a good weight loss this week as i've got so much to loose !0 -
HUNBUN - I know how it feels when you go off the rails, just climb back on and go for it again...we're only human after all and can only do the very best we can !! I'm just hoping I can loose 2 stone by 12th December when I've got a wedding to go to !0

kala ~
at the weightloss, thats fabby. I am glad you had a nice time out at at least the cavery you could monitor. Good luck for the coming week..
Hunbun ~ Well done on getting through the chinese carb free although not good on the falling of the wagon thing. Line in the sand though and 100% from now. Take each day one at a time and you will be fine... As for the willpower, if only it was that easy, I must say though I have it in spades but I think thats just my personality :j
HEREWEGOAGAIN ~ Well done on getting to the end of your 'week' fingers crossed for weigh in on Wednesday. Sorry to hear about the choc, it may not make that much difference but you will have knocked yourself out of ketosis because choc fills you glycogen storesIf you need something 'sweet' its best to have one square of dark choc something 70% coca and above... but always after weigh in. I hope you still have a good loss though
Here is a little tip for you all. Find something visual that you can use to keep you on track. So it could be photos on your phone/fridge or a pile of buttons in a jar which represnt how many pounds you have to lose? I personally have a monthly calander (printed from word) that I put stickers on each day I am 100% and I then know how many days it is untill weigh in. I also have an app on my ipod that I keep notes in. These contain postitive affermations and my thoughts/feelings, its good to go over these things. Generally if i want to eat/have emotions where I used to east I spend an hour typing out my thoughts and that feeling goes :j It may not work for some but its worth a try
Weigh in Wednesday night for me which is horrid as I usually weigh on Wednesday morningAh well, I then have two weeks till weigh in and one week I am stepping up a plan... oh joys  :rotfl:

Thank you for your advice on getting my shake down within 15 minutes! The last week has been well worth the sacrifice....9lb loss hurray! I am so pleased with myself. For anyone just looking a reading about cambridge i say "yes it tastes awful, yes you are really hungry for something to chew, yes it takes real commitment to succeed but believe me the past week has been well worth it! Days 1-3 dreadful make sure you drink an average sized tumbler of water every hour cause that will make the headaches easier to bare. after day 3/5 you feel so much better but you will still have massive cravings for stuff that you have stopped yourself eating. 1st weigh in absolutely worth all the effort that you put in. Keep you mind focussed on the goal and pop on to any forum for advice and support they are really good.0
