  • Aww beanie, you stop that crying and Keewee thanks. I guess everyone comes to the point in anything when they say enough is enough and will do something no matter what. It could be saving for a house/paying off debt/learning to drive/getting a degree. As silly as it sounds for me its losing weight and 2009 I vowed to be my year, CD has just made it easier to achive.

Oh and beanie if I could bottle up how I feel now and sell it I would. I certainly have to much inside me just now

Oh and the 'old' quote/saying ~ We may run, walk, stumble, drive or fly, but let us never lose sight of the reason for the journey, or miss a chance to see a rainbow on the way.

And another rainbow one I like ~ Life is like a rainbow. You need both the sun and rain to make its colours appear.

Morning guys. How are you feeling Pap? Hopefully a bit better now. I had my second weigh in and lost another 5 3/4 lbs, so thats 14 1/4 in a month and I am chuffed! Thank you to all on here for support and somewhere to feel as though we're not alone.

Gotta run, but stick with it folks, its not easy, but at the same time the results speak for themselves.

    xxxxxx
  • Kala ~ I know this is a bit late but I hope you are doing well on your plan. I chosse sole source (ss) basically because I wanted a period of time to deal with my 'issues' before I had to face food again. SS takes everything out of my hands, its three shakes and no more. You have to step up a plan in week 12 so I have done that once so far and although it was hard I enjoyed the extra food. which plan you use is totally up to you and advice given to ou by your CDC. I hope you are doing well on whichever plan youare on nevertheless :D Keep us updated....

Hunbun ~ I am so happy you are still following the plan and wow over 5lbs lost this week :j That means you have already completed your 1stone a month average set by CD ~ Wow. You are doing so well, I hope you carry on with it untill goal...

I am fine, back to full strength :T I have not had to have tunes/medication for just under a week now so I feel better for that. Weigh in today and I was 4lbs down, so that indeed makes it clear it was the tunes etc. I tested on friday and monday and was in ketosis both times... I just keep plodding...

And as you say Hunbun ~ its not easy but the results are worth what we go through

    Have a great week all....

My CC advised me to start the SS+ which i started on Monday, so im now on day 4 and i feel quite good, i have had no head aches or dizzyness.

I havnt found it to hard especially in the day because im at work so it keeps my mind off food, but at night time when im around everyone else thats eating then its a real test.

I have got my first weigh in on Sunday so fingers crossed i have lost a few unwanted pounds

Thanks for updating us Kala. SS+ has been a perfect plan for me so lets hope it is for you. Well done for getting to day four already, every day for here on in is easy. If night times are hard why not plan something for that hour that your family will be eating in? You could rent a dvd or read a book, have a soak in the bath or come online and play games. It just distracts yourself from whats going on. I will have my fingers crossed for you for Sunday, your first weigh in is always the best :D Please let us all know how you have got on...

Hi Kala87, although I am still a new cd'er, I would definately say don't get hung up on what your own scales say! If you have stuck with it then I bet you will get a lovely suprise on Sunday. I am doing SS+ and I like the fact that I eat with the family at night. In fact, the kids don't know that I am following this. Only a couple of days to go.........keep up the good work.

    How you doing Keywee?.......ok on the 810 I hope:T

You still going strong Pap? Are you still Ice-creaming?!!!! and is that new blender up to the job!:D:D

Ok, a question for you all. Given that no one knows that I am following this, if I go out for a meal I can always choose something off the menu, green salad and chicken for example. However, big night out at the Chinese - what on earth do I do:o. Apart from not wanting to break the plan, I know that if I do eat a chinese I will feel really ill as haven't had carbs for over a month now. Am planning to ask them for a salad but wondered if there was anything else that I could ask for. (ss+).......suspect not!!!!!!!!!

Hi Hunbun, Thanks for the advise i will definatly keep going

As for your question about the chinese food, i have found a website which has a list of 5 good and 5 bad chinese dishes from restaurants (i tried to paste the link but it wouldnt let me). I think sometimes its not the actual food thats the problem its the way they cook it, and it actually says in the link on the website that you can "Just explain to the waiter or waitress that it's important that the chef or cook make it your way. Ninety-nine times out of a 100, you'll get what you ask for"

If you go on to a website called w.w.w.ediets.com (of course without the dots) and type in the search thing on the right hand side 'Healthy chinese food', then a some links come up which look pretty good.

    Hope this helps :T
