oh and i found this thread through google..so im just wondering how i find this thread again like which section? doh !! sorry!!

Hi irishgirl :hello: To find us again you will have to subsribe to the thread. At the top of the thread there is a 'thread tools' drop down menu. Click subscribe thread then 'accept' on the next page. When you need to find us again click on your user cp and we should be there waiting :j
Good luck for your first meeting, it nothing to be worried about. Please pop back and let us know how you are getting on :j
So how is everyone else getting on? The threads gone a bit quite againCounsellor was fab, definatly think I can complete my journey with her. Lost a pound since weigh in on monday but that could be becuase of the change of scales (again!). Next weigh in will be Wednesday so looking forward to that. The only thing is I have gone back onto a supplement to help my bowels. Now the supplement in natural form (ie not in a tablet casing) is fine and doesnt knock you out of ketosis, but I use the tablet form... So need to test tommorow morning to see if I am still in ketosis. I dont feel as if I am not but you never know....
Have a great weekend all :T0 -

Hi cherry, was wondering if you had all found a new 'home' then :rotfl: Yep I am sure I will be fine, just keep ploughing away :j
Lets deal with the drinking first... dont ever ever ever drink when you are in ketosis- it can be fatal in some people. So you need to knock yourself out if it, ie eat carbs. It could be you only need a small amount of carbs to kick you out you may need quite a few. I would say have a sandwich or a main carb heavy meal around 6hours before you drink. Then keep topping up the carbs before/while you drink so crisps/nuts that type of stuff.
I guess from you post you will be straight SS'ing. However if you want a meal out you could have a ss+ meal which is basically salad/veg with fish/chicken and thats it. You could have a carb meal but it might keep you out of ketosis. Its totally up to you. It might be worth getting advice from your CDC or if not mentioning on the weighin after your weekend/meal that you have done what you did just incase it shows on the scales.
Once you are out of ketosis its not nearly as hard to get back into it, prob 3 days max. But keep up your water when you are drinking/eating as it helps flush the carbs out faster :T
*Btw anyone who wanted to know I am still in ketosis even with these supplements :j*0 -
Heya fellow cambridgers i've decided to rejoin and get this diet underway....am on day 2 of SS, but am thinking its going to be easier longer term to do SS+....just think the meal will help "see me through" as i'm going to be on fairly long term, have approximately 5 stone to loose.... got to my goal about 5 years ago but with one thing and another and excuse after excuse have put the weight back on :-( anyone else doing SS+, am hoping i manage to loose as quickly as i did before , just wondered what anyone elses success was like?0
