CDC's dont normally mention it because if you are on the diet 100% you should naturally be in ketosis. However some give stick's out to clients to check around day four. Also 'cheaters' have them because they can check when they are back in ketosis when they have had a binge. You can get the here on ebay, or any pharmacy will sell you them :D Just ask for ketositx

Just a quickie - am I allowed to put salt and pepper in my soups? I've not done it but some of them would taste SO MUCH better with a little s+p in them. Just had a discussion with my CDC and am going to do a 'flying visit' to her this evening to get some more soup (luuuuurve spicy tomato) and she said that I can have the bars on week 2 - hurrah. Which are the nicest ones? Thanks

i think a bit of salt is okay, but as any diet salt can lead to water retention so best avoided... i don't think it dramatically affects the science of the diet as such....

if you need it, get some lo salt babes...

sometimes i think if you need a workaround/minicheat to keep you on the straight and narrow then so be it, it's better than suffering and blowing the whole lot on a packet of minieggs and a bag of chips!!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
    (it's part of my charm!)
  • Mmmm chips!
    I could so just...!! lololol

    I had a porridge..apple & cinnamon for breakfast this morn...Tasted okay again!
Also, I haven't felt as hungry this morning so it obviously filled a gap!

  • Bana, I tryed a few of the bars and my fave was the cranberry cruch (or something like that) I hated all the 'choc' type ones. But again it personal choice.

I am still plodding, did have a tiny amount (1/2 teaspoon) of homemade jam yesterday. Resisted all of my bread and cakes I made though :D Maz you were right I have a few drops of blood so I guess I was 'due' kinda.

    Just keep going all :j
