    Hi All

Day two for me today, and I'm enjoying the soups much more than the shakes... (had strawb tetra shake, strawb make your own shake and mint choc shake/ soups I've had are spicy tomato, leek and potato and veg)

Does anyone have any advice about the porridge? I was thinking of the apple and cinammon one (anyone eaten it ever) I'd really appreciate your advice....

Oh, also as mentioned Day two today -hurrah and I've got a kind of metallic taste in my mouth - any ideas what it could be? or am I just weird? :rotfl:

The apple and cinnamon is nice and warming, not that I have been having many lately with the recent heat. I do however add more water than it states as I find it too thick.

ANd that taste in your mouth means to are on the way to ketosis land!!!

    hi everyone

a new CDer to join the club, I'm starting the CD on Friday so wish me luck. I have about 1.5 - 2 stone to lose and have already lost about a stone via the low GI diet although this has taken months!!

Just a quick question around maintenance - I know you go through the different CD stages introducing more food as you go but does the weight not simply go straight back on, even if you are eating healthy food and watching your portion sizes?

    hi there, and welcome....

    my understanding of it is.....
that you add a little, and may still lose a bit or stay the same,

then you go up a stage and may still lose or stay the same,

then you go up another stage and you might find this is where you stay the same.... or gain a lb or so, so this is kinda around the level of cals/carbs that you can work away at maintaining without running the risk of putting too much on....

if you were to go up another level, you might find that it creeps on a bit...

if you revert to normal levels of cals and carbs you will almost certainly put some/all of it back on again....

So it's a case of trying to keep carbs low and introduce stuff gradually while monitoring where your weight is....
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

Hey Maz, Thanks so much for the confidence :) it's getting easier the longer I do this (although I do think I'll get bored of the soups and shakes before my three months is up!)
  • Hello everyone!

    Hope we're all well??

I'm okies here....Still being a good girl and doing SS 100%. No cheating whatsoever! I can't beleive it! Lol:D

One thing this week though....I'm bloody starving!!
Why though?? I'm having my three 'meals'. I'm knocking back the corperation pop.....still peeing like there's no tomorrow!
I just feel really hungry. Tummy grumbles as well:confused:

I had to have my first shake about an hour earlier than usual as I was up and out today. Lunch, I had at the same time as normal...Just after Loose Women started lol.
Last night I tried to wait longer for my evening one, so I wouldn't be so hungry later on. I'll probably do that again tonight.

I still feel in the right head space. Don't want 'food'...I can have that another time...When the hard graft has been done and I can see results lol.

Making hubby & son bacon & eggs for tea tonight. Daughter is having tata hash left from last night.......Mmmmm I'm gonna be dribbling lol.
    I'll be good though!!

I tried the porridge on my first week and wasn't keen at all but I loved the apple & cinnamon one!
So....I ordered 7 of them for this week. Thinking one a day, nice bit of stodge. Anyway, I wasn't that keen when I had it a second time lolol...Ah well. I will give it anohter go...soon....Lol. Just too busy enjoying these yummy shakes with a ton of ice!!
I crush my ice in the blender (make snow!). Then I add 1/2 pint of water & shake mix. Wizz it up and yum! I have the perfect pint pot full!

Oh, I've also joined the Cambridge web site forums!
I tried to join the other week but it wasn't accepting new members??
Looks like it's had a refurb!

I'm also a member at minimins.....Don't speak there either lolol.

I feel weird posting in a few different places. I'm sure people here must use them also though!

Well, happy CD ing folks! xoxox
    !!73lb lost!!

    Hiya Everyone,

Just tried the 'stick' and apparently am in ketosis! - hurrah (it was a kind of pink cheek colour) - is that right?

Currently 'eating' cheese and brocolli soup (disgusting!) but am so hungry will carry on with it, funny it's the only soup I've not liked - perhaps why I've left it till last.

How are you all getting on?!
