That water looked lovely........
Must drink more water. Didn't have anywhere near enough yesterday and ended up with a banging headache.
Welcome the thread Banafell, and the wonderful world of CD;)
Well, Fruits of the Forest for lunch today, a strange purply colour, with a lovely smell actually, but with a sort of background taste of powder!
He Ho, back in one then! Ohh nearly wished it was something else then but I won't!!!0 -
Thanks for the warm welcome
I'm starting on the SS+ and was amazed to find that my BMI was 29.5, so just off obese eeeek! The weight just started creeping on throughout the years and it was only (sounds such a cliche!) when I looked at my holiday photo's I realised how big I was, really doesn't help as my fiance! is very slim and I look like a whale in pics next to him. We've only just got engaged and I don't want to be bigger than I think is nice for our wedding (which isn't for 18 months) so I reckon I can lose a good few stone by then. I'm aiming to lose 2 1/2 stone….. sounds so much to lose though! but I've got the willpower (yeah, ask me again on Monday evening…..) so I *hope* that I'll be ok. That's mainly why I joined here, for moral support when I'm feeling week (and in need of a doughnut) which is why I got into this state in the first place!

Hello everyone!!
Just coming to the end of day 3!
All seems to be going well.....Drinking water like a fish!:T
I looovvveee the vanilla shake! Mmm mmm mmmmm! Crushed ice in it. Gorgeous!
I've not enjoyed the three soups I've tried so far...Cheese & broccoli (I was warned! Lol), Veg & Spicy Tomato.......I think it may be the way they come out of the blender...all frothy..totally ick!! I'll try one again tomorrow but will hand whisk it, see if it makes a difference. Probably taste powdery without the blender though...
I also enjoyed the choc shake, choc mint was ok...bit powdery and the strawberry one was lovely also.
Porridge with apple & cinnamon was nice (liked the chunks in it lol) but the plain one was cack! I added a bit of cinnamon but it didn't improve it.
I think in the three days I've been on CD I'm learning that a have a sweet tooth in regards to their products!
Always thought I was more for savoury stuff.
I've stuck to it ridgedly, no cheating at all. Also cooked for the family as normal and not been tempted to cheat.
I sure hope I stay this positive and determined lolol.
Oh and the daft thing is...I feel lighter already! Lololol I know that's me head messing but I do and I'm happy to go with that lol..
All the running up and down stairs to pee must be good excercise even if it is a pain in the buttocks lolol.
Well, I hope everyone else is having a good week!:T
Ciao for now! xox!!73lb lost!!
29th June 2010 - Present Day
Thank you Cambridge0 -
Well done Chatty, Glad to hear its going well. :j
I'm usually a savoury person, but cant stand the soups but then I don't like packet soup normally. Not keen on porrridge either unless its made with a load of cream and syrup:eek:
Boy its hot already!
Did another 100%er, wasn't quite so easy, could have eaten last night, but had an early night instead.
WI tomorrow, will i break that 2 st barrier. Have never managed 2st off in any diet, best ever has been 1.5, even when on CD before.
Have a great day everyone!0 -
Just had my morning shake......Really looked forward to it too! Lol
Tis a hot one again today.......Makes it so much easier to glug the miracle liquid (water)!
Good luck with your weigh in tomorrow Duncan!
Happy CD ing everyone!! xox!!73lb lost!!

Maz ~ Bless you, I just type and type. Sometimes its good sometimes its waffle :rotfl: Great to see your scales are shifting... certainly going in the right direction. I understand that you need to stop CD, although with the great losses you have recieved so far I think you will be fab at maintaining. Plus if you stick to a healthly plan I am sure you can budge the last stone alone. Hope your weighin tonight is a good one and the CDC isnt too harsh.
Duncan ~ Thanks mine has to go in the bin too, the problem is they are plastic so the smell lingers. I have found a stainless steel shaker though. However at £13 I think I will give it a miss as my blender was cheaper :rotfl: Btw you will catch up Maz soon enough. Eww Duncan yous shake yesterday didnt sound apealing. Somedays they dont though do theyGood luck on your weigh-in tommorow :T
*ps ~ did they arrive*
Banafell ~ Welcome to the CD thread. I am sure you will do fine. You seem to have lots of determination which helps a lot. Have a good three days... Hey you have come to the best place for support. Moan and curse this diet all you want on here... but dont give up and fall off the wagon.
Bindi ~ Ohhh I dont like the thought of being stood outside in this heat too long. I hope you got rehydrated as soon as you could. Love the water btw :rotfl:
Poggy ~ Hope your meeting went well yesterday with your CDC. Fingers crossed for a good few days for you.
Cathy ~ Wow you are doiung well. Glad you like some of the flavours, it makes the diet so much easier. Be aware though your tastes will change. I used to love choc mint now I cant stand it :rotfl: I used to hate strawberry tetras, now I love them :rotfl: Strange how our body works but CD have many flavours so there isnt really any problem. I had that problem with the soups, do you have a hand blender, stick type thing. That worked for me but I still hated them as they had a powdery aftertaste :eek: Congrats on staying 100%, hope your first weigh in is fab. Oh and the water thing will slow down. At week three I stopped going to the loo as often :T
~~~~
Well another 100% day (yesterday) and I am in ketosis... again :rolleyes: Now I just need to maintain this 100% till next Sunday. I think its do able :T Keep going all and have a great day, remember plenty of water and if you are going outside, sunscreen :beer:0 -
Not yet Pap, will let you know. Well done on your 100%er, hope you are being good and 100% - wagging finger at you now!
£13 is a bit steep isn't it. I just use half filled plastic water bottles when I can't get to my blender. The biggest problem is getting the mix into the bottle!!! Usually end up with it all over the place:mad:
I had that Fruits of the forest last night again, I just dip my hand in the box and see what comes out. I must have eaten all my favs though, ended up with butterscotch for breakfast (Pap I need your puke smiley here!), that is just so bad.
The good thing about the shakes is when they are cold you can just knock them back, the hot ones you have to bin them:D
Well i have sort of mixed news, after being naughty on and off over the last couple of weeks, I went shopping last weekend, bought some pants for work which were 16's, they were a nice loose fit.
Well after three days of being absolutely angelic, they are too b1oody big.
Wonderful news on the belly front - not on my wallet which is under severe strain at the moment and all but non essential spending is banned.
Unless its in Pesos:rotfl:got my holiday money yesterday, oohh so last night I sat and counted it all, wish it was pounds though!0 -
:mad: I hope they turn up! I sent them standard parcel on the 29th, cost bleedin £4 too :rolleyes: Shame about the trouser but then its good too... At the moment I am only buying the bare min. The size 18 was just one pair of trousers and thats all I will buy untill I need some smaller. I will wait untill I am at a size/weight I like and then maintain before I go 'proper' shopping0
-
I'm sure they will, postal service is not so good as it used to be in the "old days", God feel about 90.
Theres always someone in at ours so they shouldn't go missing.
Ohh, thin clothes shopping - thats a good thing to look forward to.
My boobs havent shrunk, which is getting on my nerves. Although I have got thinner around the back so my tops arn't straining quite so much, all my 18-20 tops are still "fitting" around my chest, then baggy around my middle.
Not complaining too much but it woud be nice if they could just join in with the rest of my body:mad:
Its a mixed blessing, but I gain and lose weight all over pretty evenly, even fingers and toes, so it makes it easier to gain weight and not really notice it - it also takes longer to notice it when I lose.
My poor mum is an apple, she has these skinny little ankles and legs, no bum at all, and then "!!!!!!" there it all is from the top of her bum to her chin;)0 -
Hi everyone :hello:
I don't post but I follow this thread daily.
I'm Andrea, 31, married mum of 2. I work funny shifts with children with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. Hard work but love it. I wanted to lose weight for my brothers big wedding in september and our holiday to Florida in October. I have previously lost 5st on weight watchers but over 4yrs have put it all back on and some more.
I been on CD since 9th March and have lost 55lbs (1lb off 4st) so far. Some weeks have been better than others so I can't claim to have stuck to CD 100% for the whole 16wks, but if I hadn't of had the odd cheat now and then I don't think I would have got this far.
I am 5'8" and started at 16st 11lbs and a tight size 20. I am currently 12st 12lbs and wearing size 14.
My goal is 11st so ony 26lbs to go:j
My problem is that my hair is falling out a lot, not bold yet but it's thinning badly, and my periods are all over the place. I have always had problems with my periods, 3wks long every month, and had an endo ablation in feb (burn the lining of the womb away) which was suppose to have sorted it out. I have virtually been on cd since the op so I don't know if the op failed or if cd is messing my periods up. I'm due to see the consultant next week for my 6mth check up and don't know what to say. If I tell her i'm on cd I'm sure she'll tell me to stop.
My hubby is very supportive, loves me fat or thin he just want me to be happy with me, but he is saying he's worried about my health now (and he has to keep un blocking the bath plug hole). I don't want to stop now as I've got so far and don't think I would stick to any healthy eating diet to lose the rest of the weight. I don't know if I'm putting my health in danger or not. If i'm really good I could be at goal in 8-9wks, that isn't that long really. May be totally bold by then though:eek:
Rambled on long enough now, just looking for opinons from people that know about cd. x0
