I guess we didnt step back from the brink. Not sure why Dollar is so much more popular then us but its possible alot of Yen is going to USA, their new PM is trying to force their rate down
I was looking for a bit of hesitation here as its fallen to the inverse of the New years price strength.
Above 1.535 and it will have recovered the 2012 low, until it properly sits above that Im not optimistic on Sterling strength

Hi Marc,
I am in the same boat as you. I am going away to NY in the next few weeks, and for whatever reason I hesistated when the dollar was 1.56. I didn't think it would drop as drastically as it has, and it's made a HUGE difference to our holiday fund now. If we got our dollars at 1.56 we'd be $250 better off than the current rate!!
I think it's probably going to drop even further so Im going to bite the bullet and buy them now before it gets worse..0 -

When it was at its worst in 2011 it was roughly in line with the price now same 2012. Thats the only clue, 2 weeks is probably not enough time for much to happenSterling Index At 1000 GMT

Looking at it now, really doesnt look well. Slinking down as if its consigned to its fate
I have a big gap now till 1.46 area. Gets pretty murky on the seabedSo who knows, 1.52 and hold it to prove itself now I think
Cable should turn around some month because I really think USA has not yet trimuphed in its jobs problem.
For this rate to move much and in one direction it needs them to beat us, strength is not yet apparent more hope
Im not confident for them till they get rid of all that rubbish politics and windbag speeches while overspending, over legislating, etc but as the reserve currency maybe they dont have to do anything. We do, ball is our court now I guess0 -

This is not good at all
not for me anyway! I was hoping to get a few hundred pound worth of dollars the day before we leave (Pay day!) and it seems to be getting worse.
Two weeks ago, $470 would of only cost me £300. I have a bad feeling that it will eventually keep on dropping and even reach 1.40.. :mad:0 -
