  • If you have a good card, just going there and using is best I think. Like nationwide are good? Look at another thread for advice though as this is purely just one for the rate
  • Ah, okay... Sorry. I shall go hunting now for a thread.

    Cheers sabretooth.

But the first post of this thread says "Please use this thread for all queries related to US Currency conversion, rates and the best time to buy."?

best rate going for USD at the moment and the best place to get them?
As a tourist, this means something else though. Mainly which provider of the rate is best, maybe it should be discussed here but it isnt. Im only looking at when dollar is strong or not

Yes them were the days :D But lots of things are cheaper now anyway luckily. I think we'll see 2 to 1 again because they are spending so many dollars leading upto their elections to keep people happy - relatively.
Right this moment pound is still due a fall, I reckon 1.6 is more then fair

Actually thats a cent move today, which is pretty rapid. It'll rest then move from here I think, there is a ping pong scenario between this weeks low 1.61 and 1.625 possible
1.595 is the longer term trend for rising sterling
